Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means
FORGETTING

I miss you
I love you
Do you miss me?
Did you ever care?

Hi

WISTOMUCH
Chapter one

The enticing sunset shimmered across the sky, calling for people to come out on their balconies and stare. Blonde hair whipped across my face, annoying but it was very hot, I knew. My bright blue eyes searched the sky, knowing nothing more could come from the beauty. A lone seagull glided past the perfect clouds. “That was beautiful, Maxxi. Exactly what the show needed, right there!” My agent hit the power button on his remote, turning the TV completely black, except for a red light in the corner signaling that it was, in fact, powered off. My mom smiled at me and gave me thumbs up from across the room. I managed a smile but when I turned around it was gone. Everybody who saw my acting loved it except me. Because I knew all the secrets.
The gorgeous sunset with the lone seagull was a green screen. I never actually saw it before now. The wind whipping my blonde hair was a super loud, annoying fan that was tuned out. And my bright blue eyes—well, I have blue eyes, but not that gorgeous. Mine were like the blue of a ten-dollar iTunes gift card. The contacts that irritated my eyes turned them into the prettiest blue in existence. The only real part was my hair, a blinding white blonde. But other than the hair, that was not me for sure. The actress next to me, named Ella, elbowed me. I looked up to see a smiling casting director, with a mouth much to big for his face and greasy, combed back hair, grinning down at me, holding out a giant, hairy (EW!) hand for me to shake. I shook it.
“Hello, Maxxi. The name's Dahl. I’m a casting director (I so called it!) and I want you in my next movie! What do you think?” The man grinned, bending down to eye level. His breath stank of garlic. Seriously, he could melt my mascara in a second. I think my eyeliner started to run. I backed up a little bit, to get away from his vampire-fighters breath. I started to say No thanks like the sweetheart I used to be would have but my actress self took over and did exactly what everybody told me to do.
“I don’t know,” I replied offhandedly, “I’m not really a movie person.” Make them beg, Maxxi. That’s what you need to do—never seem too eager.
“Oh, Miss Maxxi, what a shame.” Dahl’s face fell but he looked over at Ella and his face lit up again. “Hello, Ella. The name’s—“
“Sir!” I said, getting furious looks from my agent and my mother, “That my agent right over there. He’ll give you my resume.” Dahl, absolutely delighted, practically skipped over to my agent. I threw my head into my hands and massaged my temples to rid my head of this horrible migraine that I could feel coming. But before I could remove the damage my hair and makeup artist, Lydia, smacked my hands away from my face. “OW!” I cried.
“Don’t. Touch. The. Hair. Or. Face. Understood?” She growled, as though I were using a bucket of makeup removeR and telling her I looked absolutely ridiculous. I wish.
