Today, I was talking to one of my friends on Yahoo! Messenger. Since it is September 1st, I asked her, "How was your first day back at Hogwarts?" I suspected an answer like, "Great." or "Snape is at it again." or something along those lines. But instead, she told me, "They kicked me out for opening the Chamber of Secrets." Not only did it make my day, but I now am 100% sure my best friend selections are outstanding.

Today, I saw a story on mlia about a girl's boyfriend yelling "YESSS!!! THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART!!" when Taylor Lautner took off his shirt in Twilight. Afterwards, I told my brother, whose 17, about it because it sounded like something he would do. He got quiet, laughed, and then called his girlfriend. Apperently, this story was about him.

Today my math teachers student teacher taught us a lesson. He was teaching us about statistics and made his bar graphs with the labels "The Number of Boys My Milkshakes Bring to the Yard" and "The Number of Boys Your Milkshakes Bring to the Yard". Needless to say, he is going to be a great teacher.

Today, my grandma came over with a Perry the Platypus stuffed animal. And it makes his platypus sound. My life is utterly complete.

Today, my family told me I was adopted. My whole family is white. I'm black. I think I figured it out.

Today, on amirite.net, I saw a post that said "It's hilarious when school textbooks try too hard at being racially diverse. "Brad, Latisha, Pablo and Kwan were doing a math problem..." I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of my chair.

Last night, I was informed that my dorm will be decorating our lounge to look like the Great Hall and throwing a Harry Potter party next semester. I was disappointed because I will be studying abroad so the only way I can attend is through Skype. Then I realized if my friend puts a picture frame around her laptop screen I would look like one of Hogwart's moving portraits. Guess who's attending as the Fat Lady?

The other day I learned that if you say 'beer can' with an English accent, you're saying 'bacon' with a Jamaican accent. Mind blown.

Today I walked into English only to discover that whoever has been writing the "Harry Potter Spell of the Day" on the board for the past two weeks had made the major error of writing "Avada Kedavra." I grabbed a red marker and wrote CENSORED across it. Really, I expected a fellow Potter fan to know better than to use such a filthy word in school.

Today, my latin teacher explained to our class that J.K. Rowling is a classical writer, meaning that she is fluent in latin. thus, every spell in Harry Potter is actual latin. Expecto Patronum? literally, i expect my protector. Lumos? light. Guess what my final project is going to be about?
