More Than This
(a One Direction Fan
Fic)
Prologue:
It
has been three years since my mom died. That awful car accident
that changed my life forever...
*Flashback*
"Come on sweetie!
We're going to be late for your sister's chorus concert!
Hurry it up!" Mom yelled up the big, spiral
staircase.
"I'm coming,
Mom! I need one more minute to find my phone!" I yelled
back. Tonight was my sister's chorus concert. Kelsy was so
excited for this, she loves singing. I grabbed my black Michael
Kors purse that matched my black and red tight dress and my black
heels. I threw my phone and keys in my bag and sprinted down the
stairs. I didn't want to make my little sister late for her
concert. Mom sped to the school, dropping my sister off at the
front so she can go to warm-ups. Mom and I drove to dunkin
donuts, since we had an hour until the concert actually started.
I turned up the radio, blasting Demi Lovato. I loved her. Mom was
fighting with me to lower it. She took her eyes off the road to
lower the volume, and in that split second, a car crashed into
ours, leaving my mother dead instantly. I was majorly injured and
I didn't know what to do. I reached down and grabbed my
phone. It hurt to bend over but I needed to call 911. I tried to
call but when they answered, I couldn't get words out. 5, 10
minutes later, the ambulance showed up. They rushed me to the
hospital, leaving the cops with mom. We knew she was dead. I
cried for hours, not because of my fractured rib, but for the
loss of my mother. I'm only 14. I don't know what to do.
When I was admitted into my hospital room, I called my dad. I
told him to pick Kelsy up from the school immediately and to
drive her the hospital. I needed to tell them what happened.
After explaining to my sister and my father what happened, they
let me leave. When we got home, I called my best friend, Louis
Tomlinson. I told him everything. He was there for me while I
cried about losing my mother. That night, I will never
forget.
*end of
flashback*
"You spoiled little
brat! You and your stupid little sister ruined my life!" My
vicious dad slurred at me as he chased Kelsy around the room with
a baseball bat. "Dad, stop! She doesn't deserve this!
She's only 9!" I cried. Mylittle sister ran behind me,
escaping my dad. I backed up against the wall as my dad came
toward me with the bat. I could feel the poor girl shaking behind
me. Dad swung the bat at me, hitting me in the hip. I winced in
pain, but refused to fall. I needed to be strong to protect my
baby sister. I looked all around the room, for something to
defend myself. I looked at the bookcase and found a glass vase.
This would have to do. I grabbed it, and went over to my dad. He
was turned around, so he didn't see me. I swung the glass
vase, hitting him on the head. Glass shattered everywhere. Dad
lifted his hand, feeling the blood dripping from a huge gash I
left on his face. He was furious. "You little---"
"LANGUAGE!" I yelled at him. I tried to stop him from
swearing whoever I could because didn't need Kelsy swearing
anytime soon. I ran up to my room with Kelsy as dad left the
house.
Sorry guys! I had to
split this into two parts! I hope you like it!
