Chapter Two - Alex's
POV
I had to talk
to her.
Jessie.
But what was I supposed to say? That I was drunk and I
couldn't control myself? Yeah, that'll really get her
back.
I really screwed up this time.
And there might be no way to fix it.
I closed my eyes and kicked my locker.
The girl I was in love with, still am, since eighth grade hates
me. And just after I got her, I screwed up.
Is this a sign?
No, I told myself, it's just a test.
"Hey, Alex!" I heard a higher voice yell my name. I
turned to see Ashlynn pushing through the crowds in the hallway
to get to me. She handed me a light blue piece of paper with a
smile. "Hey, party at my place on Friday. You
comin'?"
Ashlynn was a pretty girl with long, brown hair and big green
eyes. She was very short, and always a good friend of mine.
I shook my head. "I've got somethin' to fix, Ash.
Sorry."
"You mean, Jessie? She's coming. Her and
Ember."
I stared at her in disbelief. No way.
No way. No way. No way.
It was perfect. The plan blossomed in my head and I nodded at
her. "Change of plans. You will defintely see me
there."
Ashlynn grinned, "Great. 7 o'clock, and don't
drink while you're there. That will only make it worse for
you two."
I grinned at Ashlynn and ran off to find Josh.
***
"You are brilliant, dude." Josh punched the air with
his fist, victoriously. "But, you should go up and talk to
her now."
"Now?"
"Now." Josh confirmed.
***
Josh and I ran to the parking lot, searching for the black
Acura that I knew far too well. I caught sight of it at the
other end of the parking lot, and Jessie walking towards it.
Her blonde hair was being blown back from the wind and I let
out a deep breath. "I can't catch up. She's
practically there already."
"Go! You have to try!"
So I took off running. And thank God that I played football, or
I would have been out of breath by the time I reached her
car.
"Jess, I have to talk to you." I put my hand on her
shoulder and she turned to glare at me.
"Its about time." She
hissed.
This isn't the permanent format.. this is
just temporary.
