Never Have I Ever
Chapter 3
Dimples. The cutest dimples I've ever seen.
"WELL, there's my bus," I huffed, suddenly feeling
uncomfortable.
But at the same time, happy.
Logan finally took interest in someone.
Strange that it was me.
He was probably just fed up with Bryce. Maybe he's seen Bryce
do that to other girls and was sick of it.
I was probably just the lucky one.
"Oh. Well. You wanna.. hang out sometime?" Logan said,
breaking me out of my thoughts.
Yes, Mia. Say yes.
"No parties, no sleepovers, and NO boys." my dad
looked down at me, his eyes heartless and his tone cold.
"No."
Shoot. That was a little harsh.
Logan's smile dropped.
"Oh... Okay. I'll see you around."
He got up, and left me sitting there.
Dang it, Mia.
"I'm such a b-tch." I mumbled walking to my
bus.
------
He was mad. And I mean, really mad.
It was no doubt he was drunk. Like he always was.
"B-TCH WHERE ARE YOU?!" he yelled up the stairs.
My breathing sped up as I slowly walked to the door.
"I'm here, daddy." I said, just over a whisper.
"GOD GAVE YOU A MOUTH. WHAT DID YOU SAY?"
"I"m HERE, Daddy." I said, a little louder.
"Just like your d-mn mother. JUST LIKE IT!"
Momma. He hasn't talked about her since...
"Next time, I want you to speak up." he got close, and
I flinched as he raised his hand.
A nice hard slap across my cheek.
"Daddy loves you." his tone changed, as he slowly
lowered his hand.
I stayed silent, shaking.
"Don't you love me, darling?" he asked, his
tone impatient.
But still, not a word came out of my mouth.
"You b-tch. I said,"DADDY. LOVES. YOU."" he
yelled in my face.
I winced as I smelled his strong alcohol breath.
He balled his left hand, sending his fist straight into my
rib.
I gasped at the pain, slowly crumbling to the ground.
"Mia, babydoll, daddy loves you."
"I.. I love you too, daddy." I choked out, through the
pain.
And just like that he left me on the ground.
And I cried.
"Momma, I miss you so much."
------
