Extraordinary
Chapter 1 : part 1
I was falling. My head pointing to the
ground. I looked up, all I saw was the crystal clear sky
shining at me. I looked torwards the ground again. I was
almost there. I clamped my eyes shut, awaiting my death. I
was still alive. I opened my eyes again to see I was soaring
above the tall oak trees. What was happening?
I awoke quickly, breathing heavily and sweating. I let out a
blood curtling scream, unaware of what just happened. My mom
came rushing in. Her blond hair was rustled, her purple silk
pajamas were croaked, and her big brown eyes
were squinting as if she was looking straight at the
sun.
"Ayla Marie Thomas, what on earth are you doing?"
she said, obviously frustrated.
"Sorry, Mom, just another bad dream," I mumbled,
fiddling with my zebra comforter.
"Another one? What was this one about?" she asked,
concerned.
"Well, I was falling, and right as I was about to smash
into the ground, I rose up above the trees and began to
fly."
"So you could fly? Seriously ,Honey, what is going
on with you? Yesterday it was super strength, a
week ago it was self healing, and now flying? Should we see
someone about this?"
"No, Mom, I'm fine. They're just dreams, nothing
to worry about." I glanced over at my clock. 1:56 in the
morning. "I'm going to bed, Mom,
goodnight."
"Alright, goodnight, Ayla," and with that, she shut
my wooden door behind her.
I pulled my auburn hair back into a ponytail and sank into my
pillow. Was I really fine? Was this seriously nothing to
worry about?
