HER:
I stood there facing
him in the hall. Everything I'd ever wanted had been right
in front of me but as I looked at him now I knew things had
changed. I choked back tears as I watched him spin his pen on
his thumb, the habit he took up when he was nervous. His head
was c*cked
slightly to the left and his blue eyes pierced through me. I
looked away to avoid his gaze. "This is it," I
whispered. Still he stood not speaking. I met his eyes
again, angered by his silence. I was surprised by the look
of intensity on his face and backed away, my heart
shattering. Turning slowly, I walked away, taking all of my
strength not to turn around. I took a seat on the bus and
starred blankly out the window, my ipod already filling my ears. Somehow
I knew that I couldn't let him
go.
HIM:
I wasn't aware of the people around us as I looked at her.
She was all I needed but I knew I had messed up. I watched as
she tugged at her neclace. It was a motion I had come to know so well
and her fingers twisted around the chain. Her hair was falling
into her face but she didn't shake it away as I drank in
her sight. She lowered her head. "This is it," I
heard her say, but the words seemed to be far away. I
couldn't talk for fear of breaking down. When she looked up
again I saw the fire in her eyes I loved so much. Her face
softened but she backed away anyway. She began to walk away and
I willed her to turn around with no success. When she was gone
something snapped and I knew what I had to do. I dropped my
backpack to the ground and took off running after her. Somehow
I knew I wouldn't let her go.
There are two sides to every story...
