Hello.
Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Adam and I'm 23.
Tomorrow is my birthday...but I will
not age.
I will stay a broken, 23 year old man for the rest of my
life.
Or should i say...death?
It was a busy August evening, the sun was just setting and the
there was a slight coastal breeze.
It was a great day to take my girlfriend Amy out on my new
motorcycle.
We were speeding down the highway for a good 20 minutes until I
realized my breaks were no longer working.
Just then she said to me, "Slow down, I'm
scared!"
I told her, "No, this is fun!"
As I pressed buttons I was unfamiliar with, she screamed,
" No it's not! This is too scary!"
That moment, I knew this was it, there was traffic way up
ahead. "Tell me you love me" I told her.
"Ok! Fine, I love you! Now please slow down!" she
shouted.
"Now hug me." I told her.
She hugged me, we were getting closer to the traffic up
ahead.
"Can you take this helmet off me and put it on? It's
really bugging me."
She did as I said and I told her that I will always love
her.
Those were my last words to her.
The next day in the newspaper: A motorcycle crashed caused
by break failure. Two people were on the motorcycle but only one
survived.
I love Amy, I still
do. I didnt want to her know what had
happened with the brakes. Instead I wanted one last hug from her
and exchange our last "I Love You's" Then I made
her put on my helmet because I wanted her to live even if it
meant I had to die.
