you should tell your dad, maybe the way to approach would be "uhh dad, could you buy some pads? I got my period..." haha :) good luck and I was nervous the first time too!
most girls said it; as much as I didn't care for cheerleading when I did it, I do believe it is a sport. they do so much physical work, maybe not where you're from cause my school started off and it wasn't as intense as it is now. a lot of places though, its serious. there's a lot of work put into it. having to lift everyone and if they flyer falls she has to get back up. a couple girls got concussions from that stuff and its not easy stuff. but yeah, just cause you were wondering :)
