chapter 6.
Well its ten o’clock, on the
first day of my summer vacation, with nothing to do.
What is on at ten on
Thursdays?
I turn on my tv
to MTV to see if Jersey Shore was on, but this weird dance show
was on. But I heard Nicki Minaj’s song ‘Check it out,’ and
say these kids dancing. Damn, they’re cute. The
ICONic boyz, what a cute
name.
FROM ENGLISHTOWN, NEW JERSEY??!?!?!?!!??!?!?!!?
My jaw must have hit the
floor.
What if one’s my neighbor?
What if one lives across the street? How old are they? All these
questions popped in my head.
After the Nicki Minaj episode, I ended up
watching the whole ABDC
season.
Then, I fell asleep thinking about the
ICONic boyz.

chapter
5.
My mom looked at me and said,
“Well what are you waiting for, go look at your new
house!” quoting Extreme-Makeover Home Edition.
I laughed, and then gave her
the you’re not
cool look.
“Just go pick out your
room!” She yelled at me.
“Alright, calm
yourself.” I replied back to her. It sounded bitchy, but
whatever.
I walked up the grand staircase and
looked at each of the 3 bedrooms. They were all twice the size as
mine back in Texas. & they all had their own bathrooms. But
only one had a balcony, and I picked that one. The room was
pretty cool because the house next to us had a balcony too, that
practically connected to ours. My new room was painted tan and
already had a king-sized bed in it. Oh& a flat
screen.
“Mom! I picked out my
room!” I yelled down to her.
“Is it the one with the
balcony?” She yelled back.
“You know me too well
mother.” I replied, laughing.
“Like your new bed?” She
asked.
Eeeeeeep! This is my bed!
“Yeah! And the tv?”
“Yours too!” my
mom said, cheerfully.
Yes! I love it here
already.
After I unpacked what I did pack. I
decided to call Trey.
*Rinng, rinnng,
rinnnnnnng*
Trey: Uh, Hello?
Me: Hey Trey.
Trey: How was your
flight?
Me: Good! But I have bad
news.
Trey: What is it?!?!
Me: I’m staying longer than I
planned.
Trey: How long?
Me: Uh, forever. I have to move
here; in New Jersey. Englishtown.
Trey: No Tay, but I love
you.
Me: I love you too, but it
wasn’t my decision.
I was getting teary eyed, but then i
heard someone in the background of the phone call “Trey
baby, who’s that?”
Then Trey was like “Uh, I
gotta go Tay. Bye."
What the hell just
happened?
but i guess forever doesnt last..
Chapter
4.
“But Mom!
I only packed enough for a week!” I said, still standing
there on the sideway, looking at our
house.
“Don’t worry sweetie, we’ll
go back and get the rest of your stuff!” She said,
unlocking our new house, “Come on in, T. The house
doesn’t bite.”
As I walked in
my new house, all I could think about is Trey. I felt like
crying. I have to leave my first love & boyfriend of 3
months, because who knows why! Because my mom’s a psycho.
Yeah, that’s it.
“Mom, why
are we; wh-wh-why did we h-have to move?” I managed to say,
without crying.
“Well hun,
come sit.” She said, as she patted the seat next to
her.
“Yeah?” I said as I sat down,
confused.
“Your
father, who left when you were 2 weeks old, came to the house the
other day. Well, actually it was a few months ago. He demanded to
see you, but i could tell just by his breath, that he was drunk.
What if you answered the door? What if he took you away from me?
I couldn’t just let that happen.” My mom told me,
straight up.
Jesus, this is
the first time I’ve ever heard my mom even speak of my
father.
“Oh, I
love you mom. Thanks.” I said, hugging
her.
I felt a tear
roll down my cheek.
This is
definitely going to take some getting used
to...
but i guess forever doesnt last..
Chapter
3.
“Now
boarding, flight from Dallas, TX to New Jersey.” I heard a
flight attendant say in a dull voice.
“Come on,
Honey! That’s us!” My mom yelled, looking at
me.
Oh, so
that’s where we’re going.
As we sat in our
seats on the plane, I started looking out the window. I love
looking at the sky.
Then, I must
have fallen asleep, because I was awoken by my mom telling me we
were here.
I slept through
the landing, hmmph. I’m a heavy
sleeper.
“Welcome
to New Jersey!” I saw a sign say, as we got off the
plane.
One thing I hate
about flying places, waiting for your luggage, whadda
pain.
Finally! After
what seemed like ages, we got our
luggage.
Then after, we
walked outside, and climbed into a cab. They drove us to a town
called, “Englishtown.” Catchy
name.
The cab pulled
up to a nice, descent sized house, and the cab driver said,
“We’re here, that’ll be
$42.50.”
My mom handed
him 2 twenties and a five, telling him to keep the
change.
Then, we got out
of the cab, and got our bags out of the
trunk.
My mom started
walking toward the house.
“Uhm, mom,
whose house is this?” I asked, very
confused.
“OURS!
Welcome home!” My mom screamed, as I stood on the sidewalk,
in shock.
