The future disappears into memory
With only a moment between
Forever dwells in that moment
Hope is what remains to be seen
The Garden by Rush
Seeing Rush in Chicago was possibly the best thing I've ever done.
Seriously Neil Peart did like three drum solos.
They played nearly all of the Clockwork Angels album.
They opened with Subdivisons and oh my god I could hardly stand up I was weak at the knees.
It was a good show as in the "show" aspect of it with the background animations and the LIGHTS I mean wow.
The encore was Spirit of Radio, Tom Sawyer, and the first two parts and the very last part of 2112.
We didn't have floor seats but the seats we had were still really good.
It was really loud.
I stood for the entire three and a half hour set.
I can hardly talk from yelling so much.
I mean wow what a good concert.
asgk'gldinvhni I can't. Wow.
I know there are people in the world who don't love their fellow human beings,
and I hate people like that!

Archie Smith, Boy Wonder
A tiny voice asked, “Is he the one?” An orb floated to the sleeping boy’s head, and another tiny voice answered,
           “Yes, definitely.”
“Why him? What makes different from the rest?”
            “Many things. In fact, everything.”
The voices were omnipotent, not originating from a single point in the room, but they seemed to somehow reflect the thoughts of the orbs.
            “Ready, then?”
            “Absolutely.”
The room was filled - literally filled to the walls, floor, and ceiling - for a millisecond with a flash of bright, white light. When the light faded, the orbs and the boy had vanished, leaving the bedroom eerily silent and still.

Archie’s eyes slowly fluttered open, revealing his blurred surroundings. His head was throbbing, he was dizzy, and this was not the bed in which he had fallen asleep.

Author's note:
This is inspired by a page from the book The Mysteries of Harris Burdick by Chris Van Allsburg, which is an amazing book of illustrations, each accompanied by one sentence.
I might most more of this... later. Sorry if it's a bit unclear in the beginning, description slipped my mind as I was writing from a picture.

{I've seen}
fake gods
and
bad gods
and
demi-gods
and
would-be gods.
Out of all that - out of that whole pantheon - if I believe in one thing, just one thing...

I BELIEVE IN HER.

Just What I Needed - The Cars

You think it'll last forever,
people and cars and concrete.
But it won't.
One day it's all gone.
Even the sky.

I like to play solitaire with my Star Trek playing cards
because that's about the only card game you can play
if you're the type of person

who actually owns Star Trek playing cards.

Let's all take a moment to appreciate the fact that
Kidz Bop has never done an album of Broadway showtunes.

"Wow, sarcasm. That's original!"
