i think what wordynerdy said is very important
you are a person who helps a lot of people, and you're so strong, but never ever ever let that prevent you from asking for help
i'm here if you need me, we all are

The medication I take is technically for my anxiety disorder, but it's an antidepressant. (Lexapro) First of all my doctor said that the warning on all antidepressants about suicidal thoughts is for safety, and anything like that would most likely be caused by changes irrelevant to the medication. (But if you do find yourself having any suicidal thoughts, on the medication or not, you should definitely tell a doctor, psychologist, parent, hotline, etc. someone who can get you the help you need. That's basically what it says on the warning.) Other side effects I've had are just nausea when starting the medication or increasing the dose. That usually goes away after two weeks or so and can be helped by taking the medication with food if your doctor says it's okay or drinking ginger ale. There's also some drowsiness for me. As for long term effects, the medication starts working after around three weeks, and then you'll be feeling a lot better. Keep in mind this is all just for the medication that I take. But anyways I hope this helped and that you can sort things out soon. <3

Awww I'm really sorry I actually missed my friend's birthday party once for the same reason. And I felt really bad afterwards. This time, if you can convince your mom and if you're that worried about it, you don't have to go if you don't want to. And yeah, it sounds like you might have social anxiety but that's okay I have anxiety too! There are lots of people you can talk to who will help you cope with it and if you explain it to your mom I bet that will help her understand. If you absolutely have to go to the party, then the advice other people gave would work. Or find one friend that you know will stick with you and you can be quiet and not as involved together. That's what I do because I get super super nervous in crowds but feel bad when I'm completely alone. I really hope that things look up soon for you, and I can promise they will. :)

Aw, thank you for the advice (:
my mom is still making me go, but she said if I absolutely hate it after a half and hour she will pick me up... so I guess it will just be 30 minutes of torture. And yeah I'll just stick to anyone I know like skinny jeans c: and thank you!! c:

i mean obviously low self confidence is bound to happen in our society and it's okay to be insecure, i just don't like when it's glamorized like that

ugh right like it's not cute to hate yourself and self-confidence doesn't make you self-obsessed
