Orange Eyes
Part 21

I walked out the door and into the car. The engine revved and I was off. Crap, what was the address? It was at ... Andy's house? Maybe? I opened my phone and looked for him in my contacts. 8354 Pass Ln. I went through streets and streets until I found it. Aha! 4 cars were parked in the driveway and a lot of other cars were parked along the side of the road. Looked like 20 cars in all. I parked about a block and a half away and walked to his house. I opened the door myself, no point in knocking. The air smelled like alcohol, and the lights were dim. It wasn't THAT loud, but there was a lot of talking. I walked into a room, where people were socializing, and laughing, and drinking. I even spotted a couple in the corner making out. Sheesh, get a room! I opened up a door that led down stairs. I heard voices, so I walked down. The stairs were a bit slippy, so I held onto the railing. I peeked around the corner. Leaning up on the side of the wall was Zack. He came to the party? I didn't know. Beside him was Terry. They was kissing. Okay, I know I told them to be nicer to each other, but not THAT nice.

Fears, Tears, & Beers
Part 5

I made it to the bus JUST in time. I sat down and plopped down my stuff. As I did that, a bunch of papers flew out. "UGH!!!!" I yelled. I started mumbling to myself as I collected my stuff from the floor. Someone picked up my Drawing Notebook. "Hey, that's m--!" I looked up. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know." It was John. He held it out for me. I took it and smiled. "Thanks. Um, sorry for barkin' at you there. It's just ... private." I put it in my bag. "So, um ..." He sat down. "Ricky's having a party this Friday. Ricky Louis. You coming?" John asked. I finished picking up my books and pencils, then sat beside him. "Yeah, I am." I smiled at him. I noticed Carmen sitting in the seat diagonal from us. She gave me an evil stare. Oh God.

Part 11

Paxton's POV
"So you're with ... Kristine? Right?" I asked him, curious. I think I liked him. I don't know. "Nahh, we broke up 2 weeks ago." He looked at me funny. I laughed. "Sheesh, where have you been?" He asked jokingly. I laughed even harder. "I didn't know you guys broke up!" And laughed more, so much it hurt. Mark started laughing as well. His laugh was cute. :)

When we arrived at the house, a blue car was in the driveway. Not the same one I saw yesterday. I opened the door. Lane and her father were sitting on the couch. "Hey." I said warmly. Her father stood up and shook my hand. "Hello." He said. He was in a light blue long sleeve shirt, dark blue jacket, and brown pants with a brown belt. Lane was sitting perfectly, looking around the room. Her hair was half up, half down and she was wearing glasses. She had a green shirt on and dark jeans with white sneakers. She had the "Lane" necklace on. "Paxton." She smiled. Her father led me into the kitchen, where he made me sign some papers.

Mark's POV
We walked into her house, where a man and a girl were sitting. I'm guessing she was Paxton's sister? She said she had a sister, right? She said hello, and the man said hello. The man brought Paxton into the kitchen, where I was left alone with this girl. "Um, hello." I said. I flipped my hair. She was kind of cute. "Hi." She replied, sounding timid. "Um, I'm Mark. You're Paxton's sister, right?" I asked. She nodded. "Cool. So, you're like ... what, 11? 12? 13?" She didn't look THAT young, but she also didn't look THAT old. "I'm 12, and my name's Lane." She paused. "You like Paxton, don't you?" Lane asked with a grin. I sat down beside her. "Hmm ... I don't know, really. She's ... nice. Funny. Smart. Cool. But she's my friend. You know how it is?" I told her. I looked at her. She smiled a tiny bit. "I know what you mean ... she has a boyfriend, though." She replied. She looked down, then back up at me. "Nahh, they broke up." I said. I leaned back. Her couch was soft. "Oh." Lane said quietly. Paxton came back in the room, with the man right behind her.

Paxton's POV
"And you're sure Paxton will be 100% safe here?" Her father asked. I nodded. "Oh yes! I read over her allergies, favorite foods, her conditions, dislikes, and the rest. She will be in GREAT hands here. I promise you that." I replied. "Good." He said. I finished signing the other papers and walked back into the living room. Her father and Lane said their goodbyes, hugged each other, and I even saw a tear escape from her father's eye. Awh. :( Her father finally left, and waved as he backed out of our driveway. I waited til he was gone and told Lane we were going to the movies. "Cool, which movie?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders. We got in the car, and I dialed Mayce's number. "Hey, you get out of school yet?" I asked. It was 12:04. "Yeah, just told 'em I felt sick. They bought it. Haha!" She laughed. I pulled up into the parking lot of the theater. "I'm in the parking lot right now." I said into the phone. "Sweet, I'm like 2 miles away from it. Meet me on the benches." Mayce said. I unbuckled myself. "Ok." I hung up the phone. "Mark, Lane, we're gonna meet Mayce on the benches. Mk?" I told them. We all got out and started walking.

Orange Eyes
Part 20

Later on, I went home to do my homework. I called Zack and we talked for about a half hour. I walked downstairs. My parents were coming home in 2 more weeks. I have no siblings, Terry was at a party, and Zack wasn't over today. I need more friends. I decided to call Terry. I reached for my phone and dialed the number. 1 ring. 2 rings. 3 rings. 4 rings. 5 rings. 6 rings. 7 rings. "Hey." She said. I looked through my cupboard for food. "Hey, how's the party?" I was invited to the party, but I didn't feel like going. I pulled out a ravioli can. "Oh, um ... good. Yeah, it's so loud over here, I don't think you'd like it. You know? Since you don't like ... loud things. And, um, yeah. Okay, well, um, bye!" She hung up. I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked at it. What the hell? That makes me slightly suspicious ... I grabbed my jacket and put on my red and white sneakers.

Fears, Tears, & Beers
Part 4

I fell asleep around 11. When I woke up, it was dark outside. The clock said 6:09. Hehe. 6:09. I turned on my side, thinking about tomorrow night. I got up and took a shower. I towel dried my hair, then I scrunched my hair. Cute. I threw on a red Aeropostale shirt, white cami, black skinny jeans, and my Uggs. I threw on a red and grey striped hat which looked really great with my dark brown hair. I added my makeup, then I checked the time. 6:32. My bus comes around 6:45 - 6:50. I decided to check my Facebook. No new notifications. Ugh. I walked downstairs, grabbed a banana, and waited by the window. I finished my banana, threw the peel away, and as I was throwing it away, I saw the bus coming. Oh crap. I bolted across the room, threw open the door, and I'm pretty sure I ran faster than any person ever has.

Part 10

Around 11:30, I told my teacher I was sick. I started fake coughing and acting like my stomach hurt. "Oh my ... well ... go see the nurse." She said. I nodded and thanked her. I walked into the hallway and got a drink from the water fountain. As I was about to walk into the bathroom, I heard a voice behind me. "Faking to be sick? Really?" I turned around. Mark. "Stalking me, eh?" I laughed. "Hahaha, no. I just ... wanted to know." He smiled. I started to notice how cute he was. "I have to go meet my sister Lane. Look, long story short: we got separated when we were younger, she arrived at my door yesterday, she asked to live with me, I said yeah, and two swing by today at 12. Kay?" I said. He looked confused for a while, then nodded his head. "Oh, kay. Mind if I come?" He asked. I smiled. "Haha, of course not. I'll be right back though." I turned around and walked into the bathroom. I checked my hair and make up then walked back out. Mark was holding my backpack and his backpack was slung on his right shoulder. We walked down the hallway, talking, when I stopped at the nurse's office. "Hold on." I walked in, told the nurse what was wrong with me, and she let me go. I walked back out. Mark and I took the front door and started walking.

Orange Eyes
Part 19

So he's .. gone, I thought to myself in chemistry class. I wasn't paying attention at all during school. At lunch, I sat with Terry. "Hey. How was your break?" She asked. I stared at the food in front of me, instantly losing my appetite. "Um ... fine ..." I replied. The lunch room was packed and louder than usual. I spotted Zack. "Hey!" I called out. Terry pushed aside her light brown hair and turned towards me. "I got 4 new movies. We are gonna have a movie night this Saturday!!!" She practically screamed. I nodded. Zack walked over to us. "Hi Terry." He said. "Whateverr." Terry turned away and began eating her salad. "Ugh, c'mon guys! You've been fighting since the 8th grade!" I told both of them. They didn't say anything. "Just try to be nicer to each other. Promise?" I asked. They grumbled. Close enough.

Fears, Tears, & Beers
Part 2

Later on, me and Carmen hung out at my house. She sat on the couch and turned on the TV. I went to the kitchen to get us both a cookie. "So Ricky is having a party this Friday. You going?" Carmen asked from the other room. "Party at Ricky's? Friday? I don't know if my parents would let me ..." I said, opening a container of cookies. "Well, I'm going. I hear John's going too." She smiled. I grinned and threw a chocolate drizzle cookie at her. "Shut up."
*          *          *          *          *
Carmen left after a few hours of talking about the party, playing Wii Sports, and finishing our homework. At dinner, I brought the party up. "So, um, there's a party Friday. Can I go?" I asked sheepishly. I poked my turkey. "Party? Who's house?" My dad asked, with a mouthful of mashed potatoes and gravy. I took a sip of water. "Ricky's." I sliced off a little of my turkey and put it in my mouth. Yum. "Ricky?! Ricky Louis?! No. I'm sorry, but no. That boy is one hundred percent trouble, Violet." My mom said. I slammed my fork down. "BUT MOM--!" I yelled. She gently put her fork down. "No!" I finished eating my turkey and potatoes and stormed up to my room. I was going to that party Friday. One way or another, I will.
Fears, Tears, & Beers
Part 1

Okay, so let me back it up a bit. It all started ... last month.
Me and my best friend, Carmen, were sitting at lunch, talking. "Okay ... so ... what about ... Jay?" I asked. We were talking about boys. The usual. "Jay? Jay Clane? No way." As she said this, Jay walked by. He's the school jock, but he's really immature. I was trying to find Carmen a new boyfriend. He looked at us, smiled, then flipped his hair. I smiled. "Ooh, there he is! John ..." She said dreamily. Her carmel colored hair fell down on her face and she blew it away. She smiled as he walked by. I have to admit, John is REALLY cute. "John? Umm ... really?" I asked. It was kind of a problem because ... I liked him too. A lot, actually. "Yeahh." Carmen replied. "Hey John!" She called out to him. He smiled. "Hey ... uh ..." He slowed down. "Carmen." She said. She smiled and waved. "And you're ... Violet. Hey." He smiled as I flipped my hair. "Yeah." He looked so cute ... he was wearing a red shirt and jeans with black converse. His black hair hung above his eyes, which he often flipped. He had braces, but they looked cute on him. "Cool." John said. He stopped, and we stared at each other for a few moments. "Um, ok, well, um, see you in, um, sciiiiiiiiiiienceeeeee?" I said, remembering I had science with him. "Yeah." He started walking again, with his lunch tray in front of him. "Do you like him?" Carmen asked. I looked over at her. "Um, well, um ... maybe." I looked at my lap, then up at her. "I see." She replied. I looked away.
