Orange Eyes
Part 21
I walked out the door and into the car. The engine revved and I
was off. Crap, what was the address? It was at ... Andy's
house? Maybe? I opened my phone and looked for him in my
contacts. 8354 Pass Ln. I went through streets and streets until
I found it. Aha! 4 cars were parked in the driveway and a lot of
other cars were parked along the side of the road. Looked like 20
cars in all. I parked about a block and a half away and walked to
his house. I opened the door myself, no point in knocking. The
air smelled like alcohol, and the lights were dim. It wasn't
THAT loud, but there was a lot of talking. I walked into a room,
where people were socializing, and laughing, and drinking. I even
spotted a couple in the corner making out. Sheesh, get a room! I
opened up a door that led down stairs. I heard voices, so I
walked down. The stairs were a bit slippy, so I held onto the
railing. I peeked around the corner. Leaning up on the side of
the wall was Zack. He came to the party? I didn't know.
Beside him was Terry. They was kissing. Okay, I know I told them
to be nicer to each other, but not THAT nice.

Later on, I went home to do my homework. I called Zack and we
talked for about a half hour. I walked downstairs. My parents
were coming home in 2 more weeks. I have no siblings, Terry was
at a party, and Zack wasn't over today. I need more
friends. I decided to call Terry. I reached for my phone and
dialed the number. 1 ring. 2 rings. 3 rings. 4 rings. 5 rings. 6
rings. 7 rings. "Hey." She said. I looked through my
cupboard for food. "Hey, how's the party?" I was
invited to the party, but I didn't feel like going. I pulled
out a ravioli can. "Oh, um ... good. Yeah, it's so loud
over here, I don't think you'd like it. You know? Since
you don't like ... loud things. And, um, yeah. Okay, well,
um, bye!" She hung up. I pulled the phone away from my ear
and looked at it. What the hell? That makes me slightly
suspicious ... I grabbed my jacket and put on my red and white
sneakers.

So he's .. gone, I thought to myself in chemistry
class. I wasn't paying attention at all during school. At
lunch, I sat with Terry. "Hey. How was your break?" She
asked. I stared at the food in front of me, instantly losing my
appetite. "Um ... fine ..." I replied. The lunch room
was packed and louder than usual. I spotted Zack.
"Hey!" I called out. Terry pushed aside her light brown
hair and turned towards me. "I got 4 new movies. We are
gonna have a movie night this Saturday!!!" She practically
screamed. I nodded. Zack walked over to us. "Hi Terry."
He said. "Whateverr." Terry turned away and began
eating her salad. "Ugh, c'mon guys! You've been
fighting since the 8th grade!" I told both of them. They
didn't say anything. "Just try to be nicer to
each other. Promise?" I asked. They grumbled. Close
enough.
