"Well, you are you and Spencer is Spencer." He
said
“I guess I lost the bet.” I giggled.
“What bet?” Roger asked.
“The day when we went to Universal Studios, I made a bet
with Michael, he bet that Tony would get her, I bet that he
couldn’t.” I explained.
“Oh, well it doesn’t really require much to lose
your virginity in this day and age.” Roger said.
“That’s not the case for me.” I argued.
“Unfortunately.” He sighed.
“What’d you say?” I yawned.
“Nothing…” He answered.
I pulled my fresh lavender scented blanket up to my face. I
closed my eyes attempting to fall asleep. But, my heart was
troubled. I couldn’t help but wonder where Michael was.
Who was he with, what was he doing? Was he finally asleep?
Several questions bottled up in my head with no answers. But, a
wise man did say if you want an answer, ask the question.
If you’re looking for something, then search for
it. I got up and looked at Roger’s peaceful
face.
“Rog, have you seen my phone anywhere?” I asked
“Why do you suddenly need it?” He asked with a
frown.
“I need to call Spencer.” I lied.
Roger’s face fell; he angrily threw my phone at me.
“Tell that to the idiot who believes you.” Roger
sourly spat.
I had never heard him talk like this before, with absolutely no
hint of anger in his voice; just plain bitterness oozing off of
his face and voice.
“What’s your problem?” I yelled
Roger didn’t look back and didn’t answer me.
Instead he opened the door and walked away from my room. What?
What did I do now? What did I do to deserve this? I was a nice
person. But, I guess rain falls on everyone. I crashed on the
ground and closed my eyes; my hands were fidgeting around with
my phone; practically begging me to press the send button. My
eyes wondered down to my call history. I noticed that Michael
had called me, nearly ten minutes ago while I was in the
shower. The call hadn’t been marked miss, so somebody
must have answered it. Panic filled my mind like an odor. What
did they talk about? Did they even talk? Lord, what have I
gotten myself into?
