Sunset ch 4
It was Christmas break now. Only
four days till christmas to be exact.
I was out shopping with my mom for last minute gifts and also
trying to pick a gift for Ryan.
We have only been together 2 weeks and I was still learning about
what he liked and didn't.
So I didn’t really know what to get him “Does he like
belts?” my mom asked holding up a studded belt.
“I don’t know. But he sure needs one. His pants are
always falling down,” I said.
“We can get him a belt then. Do you want to go to Hot Topic
and get him that Rise Against shirt still?”
she asked. “Yeah. I’ll do that now while you pay for
the belt,”I said.
I left Spencer’s and took the escalator upstairs to Hot
Topic.
I scanned the selection of oh shirts they had displayed on the
wall.
Finally spotting the shirt I wanted to get him I got his size and
went to the counter to pay for it.
I hoped he liked it. Rise Against was his favorite band after
all.
I meet up with my mom at the car and we went home.
At home I picked out a box and put his gifts inside.
I wrapped the outside with a Christmas tree wrapping paper.
I added twirled ribbons and a bow to complete it.
I slid it under the Christmas tree in the way back so my cat
wouldn’t try to mess with the ribbon.
I couldn’t wait to give him his gift and also see what he
got me.
Tomorrow he would come over and we would make breakfast
together.
Later we would plan to do some other things the rest of the
day.
I couldn’t wait to be in his arms again and see his smile
spread across his face when he laughed.
Just all those little cute things you see in a guy that makes him
special.
Those things were running through my head now.
A smile spread across my face.
I couldn’t be happier to be with Ryan.

The next morning he came over and just like we had planned, we
made breakfast together.
My parents laughed at us because we kept bumping in to each other
and dropping things.
I thought it was funny also, I couldn’t stop laughing most
of the time.
When my parents had left we exchanged gifts.
“Open yours first!” I said handing him his gift.
“You have to open yours to! At the same time we will,
“he said.
We both opened ours gifts.
He had gotten me a shirt from Zumiez that had an anchor on it
which I loved, and he had given me one of his necklaces. After he
had opened his I gave him a kiss and a hug.
“Go try it on for me,” he said smiling and held the
shirt out to me.
I went to try on the shirt and walked out to show him
“It’s too big,” I said looking down at it with
a frown.
I looked up to see Ryan frowning also. “We will just have
to get you a smaller size,” he says.
I changed out the shirt in my room then went to meet Ryan in the
driveway.
We got into his truck and headed for the mall.
When we got to Zumiez they were out of my shirt.
So I had to pick a different gift. Sorting though the different
clothes I found a obey dress that I liked.
Ryan bought me the dress and we went back to his truck.
I was buckling my seatbelt thinking we were driving home only to
realize Ryan had leaned his seat back and was laying down placing
his hands behind his head.
“What are you doing?” I asked. “Relaxing.
It’s not like we r in a rush are we?” He asked.
“No,” I said unbuckling my seatbelt and leaning back
my seat.
Ryan reached over and switched on the radio to a country
station.
I turned to look at him and notice
him humming along with the song with his eyes closed.
He had such a pleasant smile on his face. I wanted to kiss him so
badly.
I leaned over about to do so when he opened his eyes.
His smile widened and he pulled me into his seat with him.
I leaned my head against his chest has he brushed his finger
though my hair.
“You’re so pretty,” he said. “I’m
so lucky to have you.” I looked up at him and smiled.
“Thanks babe. I’m so lucky to have you also,” I
said.
He tilted my chin towards him and kissed me softly on the
lips.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and we started to make out.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to
him.
It was such a perfect moment only to be shattered by my phone
ringing.
“Hello?” I answered. “Where are you? You need
to come home,” my mom said through the receiver.
“We will be home in a bit,” I say then hang up.
“We have to go now,” I say to Ryan. “I
heard,” he said.
I slide back into my seat and we pull out of the parking lot.
I was starting to get annoyed by the country station he had put
on and was about to change it when Ryan’s hand stopped me
mid way.
“I like this song!” He said as Luke Bryon’s, I
Don’t Want This Night To End, came on.
As the song played I started to like it. This is a first, since I
don’t like country music.
Ryan looked at me and saw my nodding my head to the music.
“This is going to be our song,” he says with a smile.
I started to listen to the lyrics closely.
He was right; it should be our song,
because I never wanted any night I spent with him to
end.
