Disney Channel, y
ou
disgust me.
You make fun of Demi Lovato for having an eating disorder? You
make fun of your characters on your shows for "gaining two
pounds"? You have other characters saying "If I gain
this much weight, I won't get the job!"? All your
actresses are now size 0 and XS. They are only 12 years old,
wear more makeup than me, have "perfect" hair. Must
be perfect. You don't have any so called
"non-attractive" actresses because it's not
appealing to the viewers? What's that saying to the 12 year
old girls watching nothing but Disney Channel? It's saying
to them you must be a size 2 or under to be considered
beautiful. It's saying how you have to look like a
supermodel and dress like this if you want to be popular. In
your shows, you make fun of other characters for being bigger
than them, for wearing certain clothes, for acting a certain
way, for anything in general. What do you think that is putting
into the minds of the children watching these shows? No wonder
the kids now-a-days take everything for granted and act like
spoiled brats. It's because influences like this, along
with countless other things. 8 year olds are saying, "I
love you" because they see it on your T.V. shows. 9 year
olds must have the most up to date cell phones because they
favorite character on Disney Channel just got one. 10 year olds
are kissing, because their favorite character is falling in
love. They get heartbroken, then some thing that something is
wrong with them. They develop mental problems. Just like Demi.
Then, you go and make fun of things like that? How are you
supposed to be a network for children when you're teaching
them absolutely horrid things?
For those of you who do not know what I'm talking
about, recently Demi Lovato had quit her T.V. show, Sonny With
A Chance because of her battles with bulimia, depression, and
bipolar disorder. Even more recently, she was watching an
episode of the Disney series Shake It Up. In one line, a model
says, "I could just eat you up. Well, if I ate..."
she found it to be very offensive and publicly tweeted the
following,
Dec. 23 -
"'I could just eat you up, well if I ate...' -
Disney Channel's Shake It Up.... What are we promoting
here? #notfunnyATALL"
Dec. 23 - "I find it really funny how a company can lose
one of it's actress' from the pressures of an EATING
DISORDER and yet still make a joke about.." "... that
very disease..... #nice"
Dec. 23 - "And is it just me or are actress' getting
THINNER AND THINNER.... I miss the days of RAVEN, AND LIZZIE
MCGUIRE."
Dec. 23 - "Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT
SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT."
I used to love Disney Channel, then I
started getting older and grew out of it. I used to tune in
every now and then to watch, but since this incident, I've
banned Disney from my television. This is horrible. I love Demi
Lovato. She is a beautiful, strong, amazing, inspiring young
singer and actress. She doesn't deserve
this. Disney just does not understand what the pressure of
society does to people, especially teenage girls. So many
things get to us, so many things can mess us up.
Society is ugly.
Sunday night, an 18 year old girl went missing,
she was last seen walking to her car after work.
Her father called her friends and co-workers asking if they
knew where she was, when his
searches came up empty, he called the police. Later that
night her friends found her car abandonded in a parking
lot.
Monday morning, a body was found in a swamp two miles away from
where the girl's car was found. The body had a gaping
wound on her neck, and was tied with a bungee cord.
Monday afternoon, the girl's father identified the found
body as his daughter.

I have a one year
old baby girl. Her name is Samantha. I'm only 15, yes
that's a young age to have a kid.
But my baby girl was still my baby, and I loved her to death.
Yesterday she died of a heart attack. No body can tell us why. It
was so random.
I'll miss you Samantha, mommy loves you.
