CUT

Oh, you want to self
harm? You think to yourself that you’ll be able to control
it, that you won’t let it get out of hand, right?
You may think that
you can just stick to a few small, little cuts here and there,
that won’t be deep and that will heal quickly and
easily. But you’re
wrong. You can’t
control it, it’s impossible to control. It controls you.
It’s an addiction. Once that blade touches your skin,
you've lost all control. Take a look at your wrists right
now. Think about what will happen a few months down the road.
Think about how your
wrists will look and how you will be ashamed to go out into
public without long sleeves, covering your scars and cuts. Go
look in the mirror. Go ahead. See the person looking back at you?
Yeah, beautiful, right? Perfect, isn't
it? Oh, you think
it’s not? Well it is, every last little inch of it. Your
nose, your eyes, your mouth, your cheeks, your eyebrows, your
eyelashes, your chin, your skin. It’s
perfect.
Still don’t
think it is? Imagine what your beautiful body will look like if
you continue self harming. All those scars, the cuts,
the negative words carved into your beautiful
skin. I know what
it feels like, I know what it feels like to have a body that has
been torn apart, burnt, bruised, cut and abused because I’m
wearing one right now. I’m having to cover my scars around
my family, around anyone for that matter. I'm going to tell
you right now, that making that first cut was the worst thing
I've ever done. It was a mistake. I regret it. You will too.
I can promise you that.
Put down
the blade.
Put down
the pair of scissors.
Put down
the knife.
Because
you are so much better than this.
And
believe me, you don’t want to get involved with the monster
of self harm.
Still
thinking of cutting? I'm only a comment away. I'll help
you.
