Today has been a really sh/tty day. All because of one thing my
brother said to me.
If your willing to listen, I need to vent.
I am starting cross country this
week, and my brother has been running for 3 years now. I'm
not in shape but I run everyday to get there. Right now my mile
times aren't very good but I've only been running for
like 2 weeks so I don't expect them to be. And I love
running, it feels so good. I don't think about a thing when I
run. It's my stress reliever. {And I want to get a flat
stomach, so its helping.} Anyway, today we were making lunch and
I said to him, "Garrett can I ask you something, but you
have to answer honestly." He said, "sure." I asked
him, "Do you think that I am going to be a good cross
country runner?" He said, "No. You're going to
suck. You're not going to like it. I can tell you don't
even want to do it. But I don't want to do it either. I'm
just doing it to get into shape."
I just kinda stood there, and slowly made my food. I didn't
know what to say. He brought ALL of my confidence down, with just
saying that one thing.
Can any of you guys help me and tell me what I should do? I
really want to be good at cross-country.
