My dad just came into my room and
told me that I needed to get a run in. He goes,
"I don't wanna hear any excuses. Excuses are like
a s sholes, everybody has one."

Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.❞

In two weeks, my number one fear will be sitting alone in the cafeteria.

God is like the sun. No matter

what happens or wherever you

are in life, it will always be there.

Today has been a really sh/tty day. All because of one thing my brother said to me.

If your willing to listen, I need to vent.

I am starting cross country this week, and my brother has been running for 3 years now. I'm not in shape but I run everyday to get there. Right now my mile times aren't very good but I've only been running for like 2 weeks so I don't expect them to be. And I love running, it feels so good. I don't think about a thing when I run. It's my stress reliever. {And I want to get a flat stomach, so its helping.} Anyway, today we were making lunch and I said to him, "Garrett can I ask you something, but you have to answer honestly." He said, "sure." I asked him, "Do you think that I am going to be a good cross country runner?" He said, "No. You're going to suck. You're not going to like it. I can tell you don't even want to do it. But I don't want to do it either. I'm just doing it to get into shape."

I just kinda stood there, and slowly made my food. I didn't know what to say. He brought ALL of my confidence down, with just saying that one thing.

Can any of you guys help me and tell me what I should do? I really want to be good at cross-country.
You musn't give your heart to a wild thing. The more you do, the stronger they get, until they're strong enough to run into  the woods or fly into a tree. And then to a higher tree, and then to the sky.
