Chapter One
Samantha POV

"Hey Samantha are you going to the end of the year bonfire?" Sky asked while trying to catch the flag.

"Mmm I don't think so... Do you need help with your spin?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Yes! I can't catch the 45^o toss!" She said getting to reeady to toss the flag.

If she threw it like that, then...

And just as I had predicted, Sky miserably failed to dodge the falling rifle and hit her right on the head, falling to the ground.

Coach Christy ran over to us as I helped Sky up trying to get her long blonde hair our of her face.

"Are you okay Sky?" Coach Christy asked concerned.

Sky barely nodded looking like she was drunk, wavering side to side. Coach Christy quickly wrote us a pass to the nurse excusing us from color guard practice. A little dissapointed I would miss the rest of practice, I led Sky from the field to the hallways which was rather diffucult with Sky stumbling over her own feet every 5 seconds.

When we finally reached the hallways, Sky sat down in the middle of the hallway and started whining she didn't want to go to the nurse.

"Sky! Just get up!" I yelling starting to impatient with her stubborn attitude but luckily, I was a lot more stubborn.

"I want food."

"Shut up and just get up!" I yelled again even more impatient. I was losing my short temper once again and in that instance, she snapped out of her "drunk" state for a split second and suddenly passed out.

I sat down next to a passed out Sky trying to figure out what to do.

"You need help there?" an amused voice asked behind me. I whipped my head around to see a guy I've never seen around before. I immeadiately noticed his blue eyes that were so dark I could get lost in them like an ocean.

"Hello? I'm Bryce by the way." He said snapping me back to reality.

"Uh... I'm Sammy...antha, er um Samantha." Was my rather intelligent response.

He chuckled already carrying Sky, "Lead the way Sammyantha!" He said over-exaggerating his voice. I rolled my eyes and started leading the way to the nurse.

"So what happened to her?" He asked obviously curious.

"I punched her and she knocked out." I said with total conviction in my voice. The look on his face... Was pricless.

"I was kidding!" I exlaimed.

"That's what they all say." He said sarcasatically. I rolled my eyes once again stopping in front of the nurses office.

"Well here it is, wait here." I muttered going inside explaining the situation to Nurse Jamie. She rushed us out of the room once she got Sky on the bed already putting an ice pack on her head.

"So," Bryce started as I sat down. "you free on Saturday?"
 
That completely caught me off guard. I had a boyfriend. "I-erm... Uh... No way!"

"I'll take that as a yes then!" He said smirking.

"But I have a-" but he was already up and walking away. "NO WAY BRYCE!" I exclaimed loudly.
