Quotes by jinglejangle

I always turn to the sports page first. The sports page records people's accomplishments; the front page nothing but man's failures.

-Earl Warren
And how exactly do I get into
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club?

It's one of those nights...

A) John Mayer on shuffle
B) Hot cup of tea
C) Nicholas  Sparks novel

Please explain to me
How one day we can talk all day about nothing and everything until one of us falls asleep
But then the next
You give me one word answers...
I so badly want to talk to you.
Just pick up my phone and send you a text,
Like how things used to be.
But times have changed and I get it.
That's just not how it works aymore.

Here's to when we used to be friends. To when I could trust you with my life if I needed it. To when we would go everywhere and do anything together. To when we were inseperable, to when we were a team. Here's to the days where we could just sit together and talk about nothing and be perfectly contempt with that.

It's all just a joke now. Like none of that ever happened.

Here's to the friend who forgot about me.

I go to a school where
Virgins are a minority.
I like living.
I have sometimes been wildly,
despairingly, acutely miserable,
racked with sorrow,
but through it all
I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.

-Agatha Christie

So You
talk to me when you need something from me...
but other than that,
I'm Nothing But
another human being taking up space.
So Here's to All Those Times
I gave you relationship advice and picked you up when you were down. And when I would let you cry and complain to you about everything and anything.

Guess They Were for Nothing

For my so called "mega-best friend",
Love you too ya friggin a**wipe

People don't play sports because its fun. Ask any athlete, most of them hate is, but they couldn't imagine their life without it. It's part of them, the love/hate relationship. It's what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, long bus rides, cheers, invitationals, countless pairs of different types of shoes, water, the Gatorade vs Powerade phenomena, and Coaches you hate but appreciate. They live for the way it feels when they beat the other team, crush their biggest town rival, or win a championship, and knowing those two extra sprints they ran  in practice were worth it. They live for the way they became family with their team, they live for the countless songs they sing in their head while training all those hours. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain. It's who they are. It's who we are.
