Chapter
19.
"Good
morning beautiful." Connor whispered.
I opened my eyes, smiling tiredly at him. "Good
morning boyfriend."
He laughed, running his fingers through my hair.
"So, do you think we should tell everyone we're
dating?" I asked him.
"Sure." He smiled gently down at me.
We both then got out of bed, and got dressed.
I threw on my navy blue bikini and my black cover up over
top.
After I applied my makeup, I straightened my hair.
"Ready?" Connor asked, peeping his head through the
bathroom door.
"As i'll ever be." I nodded.
We walked out to the living room, where everyone had their
eyes glued to the TV.
At first I thought they were the morning cartoons, but then I
realized it was almost 12:30.
"Everyone, we have an announcment." I walked in front
of the TV screen, gripping Connor's hand tightly.
"Can't it wait?! This is the good part!"
Brynn nagged, shooing me with her hand.
"It won't take long." I told her, annoyed.
"5 more minutes." Owen said, his gaze still locked on
the TV.
"I'm pregnant!" I yelled, causing everyone to go
silent.
Ainsley slowly reached for the remote to turn off the TV, clearly
in shock.
"Just kidding." I smiled innocently. "But
Connor and I are now officially dating.
"Awhh!" Brynn and Ainsley both exclaimed.
"Get it in bro."Cade said, giving Connor knuckles.
I rolled my eyes at his immaturity.
"So, when? how? We want details!" She
said anxiously.
"Well." I started, seeing that everyone's eyes were
on me. "He took me to this amazing place. There
was music, and we danced, and then, he gave me this." I
explained, showing them the silver ring that had my birthstone in
it. "And asked me to be his girlfriend."
"That"s so romantic!" Brynn exclaimed, examining
the ring on my finger.
"Cade never gave me a ring." Ainsley crossed her
arms, glaring at him.
"I-I'll get you one babe." Cade said nervously,
searching his shorts for some money.
She rolled her eyes, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"How about we go out to celebrate?" Brynn
suggested.
We all agreed, going our seperate ways to grab shoes and whatever
else we needed.
We walked to the pier, looking for something fun to do to
celebrate.
"Look guys!" Brynn pointed.
We walked towards a crowd, that seemed to be an audiance of a
game show.
"How well do you know your partner?" The host
exclaimed. "We need 3 couples to
volunteer!"
"Oh! We'll do it!" Brynn's hand shot
up.
She jumped up and down, making it impossible to miss her.
"How about this group right here!" The man pointed
to us, motioning us up to the stage.
He made each couple sit on a different couch, giving us each a
white board to write our answers on to.
I couldn't believe we were actually doing this.
First, he made us introduce ourselves.
Then, he began asking questions.
The first question was simple, when is your partners
birthday?
Everyone got it right, except for Connor.
The next question asked what state your partner was born in, and
again, Connor got it wrong.
After getting so many wrong answers, we were eliminated from the
game.
I stammered off the stage, not even bothering to wait
for Connor.
"Kadri, wait!" Connor yelled, when we were far enough
away from the crowd.
"Are you even sure that's my name?!" I
snapped, jerking myself back towards his direction.
He stayed silent.
"Maybe us dating again wasn't such a good idea." I
muttered. "You barely know me at all."
The words were so painful to admit.
I waited for him to say something, but he didn't.
I turned to walk away, letting a single tear slide down my
cheek.
He quickly grabbed my wrist, pulling me close to him.
"I might not remember your birthday, but I know you love to
snuggle. You bite your lip when your nervous, and
you've dreamed of being a dancer since you were 5.
You're scared of the dark, but you absolutely love to watch
scary movies. Even though you'll never admit it, you
love school. You're constantly comparing yourself to
other people, and you don't believe anyone when
they call you beautiful. When we broke up, you
cried for a week straight. You might have been able to get
through it Kadri, but I know I couldn't. Part of you
died when I left,
but all of me would die if you
did."

Chapter 18.
"I
love you too, Connor." I smiled slightly.
He then leaned in to kiss me.
It was long, and passionate, and everything I had been waiting
for.
I blocked everything out, except the music.
"Lets get out of here." Connor whispered into my
ear.
I grabbed his hand and we exited the crowded square.
The sun fell deep into the ocean, barely visible now.
"Where are we going Connor?" I asked, as we walked hand
in hand down the beach.
"You'll see." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes a little, I hated surprises.
"Can't you atleast give me a little hint?" I
nagged.
"Nope. You're really impatient, you know
that?" He stared at me with patient eyes.
I just punched him in the arm, because I knew he was
right.
"Ouch Kadri. That hurt." He teased me while
rubbing his not at all sore, arm.
"Do you need me to kiss it all better?" I asked
sarcastically.
He nodded, and I reached up, giving him a small peck on the
cheek.
"All better?" I giggled.
"All better." He assured, smiling down at me.
"Are we almost there yet?" I groaned tiredly, dragging
my feet through the sand.
"Kind of." He said calmly, giving no hints
whatsoever.
"Ugh, carry me." I insisted.
He just stopped and looked at me.
"Pleeeeassee?" I asked sweetly.
"Oh fine." He gave in, helping me up onto his back.
~*~*~*~
"We're almost there." He huffed, tired from
carrying me so far.
"Okay, I can walk now." I told him, hopping off of his
back.
He held my hand tightly, leading me through the entrance
of a dimly lit cave.
"Where are we Connor?" I asked shakily, gripping his
hand tighter.
"It's okay Kadri, this place isn't scary, I
promise." He reassured me.
"Okay.." I said unsurely, loosening my hold on his hand
a little.
"No peeking." Connor said, wrapping his hands around my
eyes, leading me through the cave.
"Okay, are you ready?" He asked anxiously.
"As i'll ever be." I giggled, not understanding his
excitement.
As he released his hands from my eyes, the most amazing site I
had ever seen, sat right in front of me.
In the middle of the black cave, was a huge hole, and in
that huge hole, was the blue-est water I had ever layed eyes
on.
The water was lit by the moonlight that shown through a hole
in the top of a cave.
In the water, was several variations of fish.
Big ones, little ones, maybe even some that had never been
discovered yet.
It was truely breath taking.
"This is amazing Connor." I said, taken back by the
beauty of our surroundings.
"I know." He said quietly, wrapping his hands around my
waist from behind.
He then led me up to a gazebo that over looked the huge hole
of water.
I asumed they used it for weddings.
"Imagine how amazing it would be to get married here."
I said, sliding my hands across the wood on the gazebo.
"I'll remember that." Connor smiled at me.
I felt myself blush a little.
All of a sudden, music came on.
"Did you plan this?" I beemed up at him, noticing that
it was my favorite song.
"Well..no, actually.." He admitted, sounding a little
confused. "But it works."
He smiled, wrapping his hands around my waist.
We danced around in the gazebo, not keeping track of time.
I giggled as he dipped me, and as he spun me we kissed.
"Kadri." He stopped, letting the silence of the music
fill the air.
He got down on one knee, pulling out a beautiful ring with my
birthstone implanted in the middle.
"I'm sorry..but I can't get married at 15." I
smiled down at him, hoping that marrige wasn't what he was
going to ask about.
"I'm not asking you to marry me." He smirked.
"Yet."
My cheeks turned bright red as I rolled my eyes.
"Kadri Marie Grey." He started, taking a deep
breath.
"Will you be my
girlfriend?"

Chapter 17.
"Wake
up love birds, it's almost 11, and we've go sh//t to
do." Brynn retorted, throwing a half full glass of water on
us.
"F//ck." I muttered, feeling the freezing water run
down my back.
"Was a simple 'Please wake up' not good
enough?" I spat, chucking the cup back at her.
"Well, I thought about that, but this just seemed more
fun." She snickered, walking back out into the kitchen.
Connor and I both got up and traveled back to our room to get
ready for the day.
I putt on my abercrombie bikini, and a pair of shorts and a
t-shirt that draped over my shoulder, over top.
I put my hair up in a ponytail, bobby pinning my bangs back.
I slipped on my flip flops, and headed out to the kitchen to grab
a quick breakfast.
Quick obviously meant a granola bar.
"Uhmm, Kadri..there's an interviewer outside who keeps
asking for you." Ainsley said a little unsurely.
"Uhh, okay." I said hesitently, setting my granola
bar down on the counter and walking outside.
A tall woman in her middle 40's had a pen and notebook in her
hand.
"Can I help you?" I asked curiously.
"Are you Kadri Grey?" She asked calmly.
I nodded.
"That's me." I said, lacking enthusium.
For the next 3 hours, she asked me questions about my teen
suicide essay.
No- she asked me every question she could possibly
think about that reguarded teen suicide.
By the end of the interview, I was wishing that I wasn't
Kadri Grey.
When I finally got back inside, Brynn told me that I had to start
getting ready for the festival in town square.
It wasn't a formal party, just one of those 'show up,
eat, and play games,' kind of parties.
I picked out a casual summer dress from my closet, then
straightened my hair.
I decided to poof it too, just to make it look like I put a
little effort into it.
I added the finishing touches to my makeup with glitter
eyeshaddow.
"Time to go Ka-" Connor paused.
"What?" I asked self consiously, looking into the
mirror to make sure my eyebrows were even.
"You look beautiful." He said shyly, running his
fingers through his thick brown hair.
"Thhanks." I blushed, slipping on my black rhine stone
sandals. "You look pretty handsome your self." I
smiled up at him.
His face redened a little.
We all headed out the door, making our way towards the topless
car that would be bringing us to the festival.
When we arrived, games were sat up everywhere.
Young children ran freely, while parents chased them.
In the middle of the square was a DJ, whose speakers blared out
music, and the middle of the square was being used as a dance
floor.
We all bulleted off in different directions, agreeing to meet
back at the square in an hour.
"Lets play this!" I said excitedly, dragging Connor to
one of the many games.
"Let me guess, I have to pay?" He teased.
I smiled at him, and he pulled out a 5, handing it to the game
owner.
In return, he gave us 3 darts.
I stood staring at them, not knowing what to do.
"Here." Connor said, pressing his body against mine
from behind, wrapping one arm around my waist, and the
other on my hand to help me throw the dart.
**********
"We won!" I squeeled, as the last dart collided with a
green balloon.
The man handed Connor a stuffed teddy bear.
"For you." He smiled gently, handing me
the bear.
I squeezed it tightly against my cheast, vowing to myself that I
would keep this forever.
"Thanks." I reached up, givinghim a kiss on the
cheek.
"Okay everyone, we're going to slow it down a bit!"
The DJ announced, putting a slow song on.
"Care to dance?" Connor asked.
I nodded, as he took my hand.
He pulled me close to him, wrapping his hands tightly around my
waist.
I placed my hands on his broad shoulders, staring into those
brown brown eyes, that stared right back into mine.
"Kadri." Connor whispered, just loud enough to hear
over the music.
"Yes?" I asked calmmly.
"I-I." He stuttered.
I felt his warm breath brush against my cheeks.
"I love
you."

Chapter
Fifteen
Kendall's POV:
The next morning, I woke, my head pouding louder and harder than
ever.
"What happened last night?" I mumbled, as I grasped my
forehead to release some pain.
I sat up for a moment, reanalyzing my night.
All I remember was getting to that stupid party, having something
to drink, and, oh my god.
My eyes widened, as I remembered the very last part of my
night.
I touched my lips, wondering what exactly was going through my
mind at that moment.
More importantly, what was going through Ian's mind?
Trying my best to think the worst, I stood up, and walked to the
left, straight into my bath-smack!
"Ow!" I yelled, as I flew backwards, landing on the
ground as I rubbed my forehead.
Looks like my headache just got a little worse.
The bedroom door slammed open, to a shirtless and panicked
Ian.
I raised an eyebrow, finally noticing I'd walked into a wall,
because I wasn't in my own room.
I quickly jumped up. Wait, what exactly wasn't I doing at
home, in my own room?
"I wasn't just going to drop you off home, completely
wasted." Ian chuckled, almost reading my mind.
I rolled my eyes, and walked past him, before finally thanking
him.
Ian shrugged, and I followed him back into his kitchen, which,
might I add, looked like a stampede of lions ran through.
"What? I was in the mood for pancakes." he said,
raising his hands defensively.
I let out a sigh. Sometimes I didn't think he could last a
day on his own.
"I made cereal, though." he added, pointing to the
table, where two small bowls sat.
That easily was the cleanest part of his kitchen, hands down.
Perhaps the only clean part.
"Thanks," I smiled, thanking him, again, before taking
a seat beside him.
The first few minutes of our meal was completely quiet, You could
probably hear a pin drop on the floor.
But that was before I finally spoke up, breaking the silence.
"By any chance, do you, remember," I paused, thinking
how to reword what I was about to ask.
Ian slurped up a spoonful of cereal, then finally, he nodded.
"Yep." he simply replied, unphased by the fact that we
had kissed.
"And that doesn't bother you?" I asked,
confused.
Why wasn't he freaking out like me? We'd become such good
friends.
Friends don't kiss each other! That's for couples,
right?!
And I definitely knew that the last thing I wanted was a stupid
relationship.
I've stayed away from those for a reason.
All that ends up happening is one, or both, people crying after a
break-up.
It's not worth being upset about, really.
"Not really, I'd do the same thing." he shrugged as
he replied.
Like it was nothing abnormal, he began taking the last few slurps
of milk, before getting up to clean his bowl.
Okay, what exactly was actually going on?
Was there some sort of April Fool's joke going on in the
middle of the summer that I didn't know about?
What did he mean by, "I'd do the same
thing?"
Did Ian, like me? More than I had hoped for?
"Why don't you, then?" I asked, then covered my
mouth, immediately regretting my words.
What was coming over me!? My partying definitely had to have an
effect on what was going on.
If this was any other day, I'd never even think to reply
that, right?
Ian turned around, raising an eyebrow.
I stared at him, my mouth still covered, as he smiled widely, his
teeth showing.
Maybe I've said this before, but I felt like everytime her
smiled, I just couldn't help but notice the way hi-
Kendall, get a grip! Make your decision!
I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
Instead, before the words I wanted to say came out, Ian kissed
me.
I felt my knees weaken, and my insides felt like they were on the
verge of bursting.
Was this a feeling of excitement? Fear? Nervousness? I
couldn't really tell.
That was, until, I finally came to the conclusion that maybe,
just maybe, I kind have, sort have, did like Ian a
little bit.
Whether he felt the same or not, though, I couldn't even tell
you about that one.
"So," he breathed, as we separated, still close,
"what does this mean?"
I shrugged, who knows, maybe things wouldn't go so bad for
us.
Wait a second, Kendall. What happened to relationships not
being worth the sadness that follows?
Well, who knows, maybe there won't be any of that, right?
"It's worth a shot." I answered, watching Ian's
face instantly light up.
It's worth a shot, that sounds about right.
Besides, it's not like I'd fall in love with him, or
anything, right?
-I know, I know, this is moving fast. I was going to take
a different path, but I think this may work better:D Hope you
liked it!

Chapter
Fourteen
Kendall's POV:
"Let's dance, Harry!" Kyla shouted over the music,
grabbing his arm a walking away.
She turned around, as Harry passed her, and winked at me, nodding
in approval.
I rolled my eyes, and laughed softly.
"What was that about?" Ian asked, raising an eyebrow at
me.
I grinned, and shook my head. There's no way he would find
out what's going on.
Or should I say, what Kyla thinks wil go on.
Ian shrugged, looking over my head, across the room.
"You want a drink?" he asked, as the blasting music
came to an end, as the songs switched.
I thought about denying him, but in reality, I needed something
to relax me.
The thought of being in Erin Hasling's house alone irked
me.
Anything I said, or even did, she could hold against me for
life.
She's so unpredictable, that's what makes her such a,
such a b-
"Kendall! Glad you could make it!" Erin squealed, over
the dj, embracing me into a hug.
I stood there, my hands at my said, uncomfortable.
I looked over to Ian, who was attempting not to laugh, and
mouthed for help.
"Ahem." he coughed, loudly.
Erin let go of me, and smiled, before "noticing"
Ian.
"Oh, hi! Ian, right?" she said, acting just plain
stupid.
The things some girls do for the attention of the male species is
unbelievable.
And by some girls, I mean Erin, mostly.
Ian waved, not saying a thing, before turning back to me.
"Want to go get something to drink, Ken?" he suggested,
thumbing over his back towards the kitchen.
I nodded, and followed him, completely ignoring Erin's
exsistence.
As I caught up with Ian, and we both laughed, as I renacted her
shocked look as we walked away.
I can't help but think that Kyla's wrong. Ian and I have
become such great friends, entering a relationship could just
ruin it.
But then, maybe, just maybe, it could make things better.
Whatever, I still don't understand why I'm even inquiring
that idea.
A boy and a girl can just be friends, right?
"Here you are, ma'am." Ian smirked, handing me a
red solo cup, before taking a sip of his own.
I nodded, and thanked him, then took a sip of my drink.
Ian's POV:
"Iannnn!" I heard Kendall sing, as she walked aimlessly
around the packed living room.
I grinned, letting out a short chuckle, before going after
her.
I told her to stay with Kyla for two minutes while I went to the
bathroom.
Looks like she had other plans, I thought, as I noticed
her and Harry, each sinking cup after cup.
"Ian! Hi!" Kendall squealed over the the still
uncredibly loud music, letting her weight fall on me.
I grunted as I struggled to keep her body up, but managed it.
I pulled my phone out of my front pocket, turning it on to check
the time.
It was nearly 1:15 already?! And the music was still this
loud?!
I should get home soon, though. Even though my family isn't
home from the night, Kendall's is.
If they find out I let her get completely drunk at a party, and
left at 2 a.m., I'd never be able to see her.
Trust me, not seeing a beautiful face like hers does a number on
you.
"Alright, Kendall, time to go." I said to her, grabbing
hold of her hand.
Immidiately, she snatched it away, shaking her head and
pouting.
I rolled my eyes, and sighed. This is going to be anything but
easy.
"I don't want to leave!" she fought back, stomping
her foot on the ground.
I thought for a moment of what I could do to get her to
leave.
Hopefully Harry and Kyla could manage getting home on their
own.
Harry at least seemed to have his head near the ground. He could
hold his own.
Just to be sure, I walked over to them, keeping an eye on
Kendall, just in case.
"I'm going, man. Kendall's parents will kill me if
they find out I kept her out until 2 in the morning." I
said, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder.
Harry spund around, and nodded.
"Are you sure? I was just about to take Kyla home too."
he said, raising an eyebrow, concerned.
I shook my head, I couldn't wait any longer. It could be
pretty risky.
"Nah, thanks. I'll talk to you tomorrow or
something." I said, and Harry nodded, before I went back to
Kendall.
Surprisingly, she didn't move from her same spot.
"Let's go." I demanded, and she shook her head.
I shrugged, hoping she wouldn't be too mad for what I was
about to do.
"Whatever, princess. You have no choice." I said,
before lifting her up over my back.
Immediately, she pounded her fists on my back, shouting for me to
put her down.
I simply ignored it, and made my way to my house.
Luckily, like most places, the house was in walking distance of
mine and Kendall's.
That's the good part about living in a small town like Lake
Terrace, everything was so close.
"Okay, bed time." I announced, finally placing her down
on my bed, as we walked into my house.
"No." she refused, crossing her arms as she shook her
head.
"Okay," I began, sitting beside her, "what would
you rather do, then?" I offered.
She tapped her chin, giggling as she thought for a few
minutes.
Her eyes lit up, as she thought of an idea.
"This." she smiled, pulling the hair on the sides of my
head, crashing our lips.
I didn't move, in shock. Was this actually happening?
It wasn't like I was complaining, I was actually kind of
hoping for this moment.
Without another second, I carefully placed my arm around her,
following her lead.
It almost felt like this was surreal.
Sure, it's happened before, but that was a dare.
This, is different.
There was nobody else, but the two of us, together.
It was almost as if we were expressing the feelings we felt
towards each other, after weeks of spending everyday
together.
Did this actually mean Kendall had liked me too?
-More to come >:D hahahaha Let the drame begin!
Enjoy! Let me know if you want more

Chapter
Thirteen
Kendall's POV:
"So, there's this guy wh-" I began telling a joke
to Ian, as we made our way to our things.
Before I could finish however, I bumped into somebody.
"Uh, sorry," I paused, as I looked to see who I'd
hit into.
The huge grin that was on Kyla's face faded, and she looked
over to Harry, who she was hand-and-hand with.
I looked up at Ian, and both boys were looking at each other.
They shrugged, and Harry let go of Kyla's hand.
"You two, need to make up, so we'll be back." Harry
started, walking backwards.
"And when we get back, you two better be friends
again." Ian warned, doing the same.
We both watched as the boys stared us down, before turning around
a disappearing.
Immediately, Kyla folded her arms over each other, shifted her
weight to the side.
It was as if she was waiting for me to apologize.
Me? Be stupid enough to apologie first? She was the one who
opened her mouth, I had a right to be angry, right?
She broke a promise, and best friends never do that.
You know what, maybe I was wrong. Maybe I should have at least
apologized.
"I'm sorry." we each finally said at the same time,
before smiling.
"You don't know how much it sucks not talking to my best
friend." Kyla said first, and I agreed.
She spread her arms open, and I gave her a tight hug.
"Aw, how cute." I heard Ian say from behind us.
We both turned around to see the boys laughing, as Harry wiped a
"tear" from his eye.
Kyla and I both looked at each other, and rolled our eyes.
The rest of the day wasn't anything interesting. Just the
four of us having a typical beach day.
We swam, the boys played with a football as Kyla and I tanned,
nothing unusual.
"Let's go out to eat later!" I suggested, as the
four of us were leaving.
Harry and Kyla both agreed, but Ian interjected.
"What about that party, Ken?" he said.
I mentally slapped myself, trying to remember why I decided to
tell him anything Erin said.
Well, actually, I only told him about the party, but I said I
didn't want to go!
My eyes widened at him, as Kyla answered, "what
party?"
"No party." I replied, flatly.
"Yes, Kendall. Erin invited us to a party tonight,
remember?" Ian said, opening his mouth, once again.
I looked at Ian, and covered his mouth.
"I like parties, let's go!" Kyla and Harry agreed
on.
I rolled my eyes, as Ian agreed with the two of them.
Looks like I didn't really have a choice of going
now, I thought to myself.
"Ian, when I give you that look, that means, stop
talking." I whispered, as we walked towards my car.
Ian shrugged, and grinned, apologetically.
I couldn't help but smile myself, and the sun lit up his
creamy brown eyes.
Wait, what am I saying? This is Ian we're talking about.
Funny, crazy, stupid, Ian.
What's been up with me, thinking about our friendship more,
in depth, than I have before?
Ever since our silly little dare of a kiss, I've felt a pang
of something when a girl even looks at him.
Was I starting to like Ian, in more of a way than I should?
No, I can't be.
"Ready to go?" Kyla said, walking into my house, at
around 7:30.
I sighed, and shot a look at Ian, who was slurping the last of
his bowl of cereal.
"Let's go, child." I said, dragging him out of the
house.
The three of us walked towards Harry, who was waiting in the
driver's seat of his car.
"Ian, take shotgun. I want the back with Kendall." Kyla
smiled sweetly at him.
He nodded, and followed her orders.
Kyla watched the passenger door close, then spun to me.
"Look, I know you don't want to go, but this could be
the night where Ian could kiss you. You can't even deny that
you've been waiting for that. Look at him!" Oh boy was
she way off already.
What am I saying, again?! That kiss was a dare, and meant
nothing. End of story.
The car ride to Erin's was anything but quiet.
Harry and Ian were talking about the newest news in baseball. Or
was it hockey?
Kyla and I caught up on silly little things that have happened
over the past month-ish.
I left out a few specific details, but hey, everybody does that
sometimes, even if it's on purpose.
"We're here." Harry said, pulling up to a house,
where I could feel the bass of the music.
I let out a breath, before following my friends into one of my
least liked people's house.
It's just a party, I repeated in my head.
We'll be with friends, dancing, laughing, and letting
loose.
What's the worst that could go wrong?
-Sorry I took forever and a day to post. Hope it's
worth the wait:O
Enjoy! Let me know if you want more

Chapter 16.
"Ugh,
that was tiring." Ainsley grumbled, tossing her bag onto the
counter.
"You didn't even have to do anything?" I teased
her.
We all got showered and changed after our long day of paragliding
and site seeing.
It was nearly 7 o' clock now.
When I got out of the shower, I put on a pair of Nike shorts
and a T-shirt, putting my hair into a messy bun.
After I finished, I joined everyone else in the sun room.
The walls of the room were screens, letting the sounds of ocean
waves echo off of the ceiling.
There was a large green sectional in the middle of the room,
where everyone was sitting, that surrounded a fire pit.
I took a seat next to Connor, cuddiling up into his arms.
"Who could you possibly be texting?" I
harrassed Brynn, who was lying down next to Owen with her
head in his lap.
"My Madre." She smiled, continuing to text.
"So, what do you guy's wanna do?" Ainsley asked,
reminding us that it was only 8:30.
"Makeout contest?" Cade suggested.
"You're such a f////king perve!" Brynn yelled,
chucking a pillow out him.
As he attempted to throw it back, he got sidetracked, letting the
leather green pillow fall into the fire.
"I really hope you have to pay for that." I scoffed,
watching the pillow burn to ashes.
"Seriously though, what do you guys want to do?"
Ainsley asked even more persistently.
"The nervous game." Cade spoke up again.
"Okay, let us rephrase this." Brynn snapped at
Cade. "Does anyone have any suggestions that don't
involve getting in a girl's pants."
"Darn." Cade smiled deviously at Brynn, which clearly
annoyed her.
"How about we make s'mores?" I offered.
Everyone seemed to like and agree on the idea.
I went to the kitchen to grab all of the s'more supplies.
I then retreated back to the sun room, handing everyone a
roasting stick and a few marshmellows.
I shivered, as Connor helped me roast our marshmellows.
"Cold?" He asked, twirling our marshmellow near the
fire.
"A little." I chattered, rubbing my bare arms.
"Here." He took off his sweatshirt, handing it to
me.
"Thanks." I smiled, quickly putting it own.
It smelled just like him.
I cuddled back into his side, watching him roast the
marshmellows.
"Here, watch this." He whispered into my ear.
I watched as he used our roaster as a sword to swat Cade and
Ainsley's marshmellow into the fire.
"Hey!" Cade errupted.
I giggled, watching Connor take our golden brown marshmellows off
of the stick.
"For you beautiful." He said shyly.
"Thanks." I blushed, shoving the marshmellow into my
mouth.
"I'm so tired!" Brynn groaned.
That's when everyone started to head off to bed.
Soon, only Connor and I were left.
"Ready to go to bed?" He stared down at me
patiently.
"I don't want to get up." I complained, making
myself comfy into his lap.
"Here." He said, grabbing a few blankets from the
couch, covering us up with them.
Thanks." I whispered, interlocking fingers with him.
"Goodnight Kadri." He said quietly, kissing my
forehead.
I felt myself smile into the dimness of the fires
light.
"Goodnight,
Connor."

Chapter 15.
Back To Kardi's POV-
When I woke up, Connor's arm remained wrapped around me just
as it had been last night.
I place my hand over his, and he interlocked fingers with me.
"Awake?" I whispered tiredly.
"Yeah." He muttered.
I opened my eyes, quickly flinching to the bright sun that shown
through the glass.
"It's going to be really hot today." I rubbed my
eyes.
"Not as hot as you." Connor teased.
I turned to my back.
"Shut up." I giggled, punching him in the stomach.
Although it seemed to hurt me more than it hurt him.
"Wanna go get some breakfast?" He asked calmly.
"Ugh, I don't wanna get up." I grumbled, pushing my
face into the pillow.
That's when he started tickling me, because he knew it was
one of my weaknesses.
"Connor, stop!" I squeeled, but he didn't.
We wrestled on the bed for the next 5 minutes.
Finally, it came to the point where he was hovered over top of
me.
"Please! I'll go eat!" I pleaded.
"Oh fine." He gave up, and we both hopped onto the
floor to go get dressed before we ate.
I threw on a neon yellow/green, strapless swimsuit, and my short
white cover-up.
I then applied my makeup, and french braided my hair.
Connor finished dressing when I did.
"Ready?" He asked, walking out of the bathroom
with his white aero swim trunks on.
"Yupp." I replied. "And what is it with you
and not wearing shirts?" I teased him.
"You like it?" He gave me a corny smile.
"You're an idiot." I playfully rolled my eyes,
making my way towards the kitchen.
I sat down at the table next to everyone, where a plate of bacon,
eggs, and orange juice awaited me.
Connor soon joined.
"So, what was all of that noise coming from your bedroom
this morning?" Brynn winked at me, finishing off her
eggs.
"He was tickling me." I said sternly, shooting Connor
an evil glar.
I saw him snicker a little as he shoved a piece of crispy
bacon into his mouth.
When we all finished eating, we began walking down towards the
loading dock where we would be getting aboard the parasailing
boat.
The captain piled us on, making sure everyone safely entered to
boat.
Shortly after, the boat took off, taking us towards the center of
the ocean.
"So, who wants to go first?" The driver's
attendant asked us, arranging all of the equiptment in the
back.
When no one said anything, Connor spoke up.
"We'll go first." Connor offered, grabbing my
hand.
"Connor, i'm afraid of heights.." I whispered
reluctuntly into his ear.
"I'll keep you safe." He smiled gently back at me,
grasping my hand tighter.
As the captain suited us up, I kept a tight hold on Connor's
hand, even though he clearly wasn't going anywhere.
"Here we go!" The attendant yelled, sending us flying
into the air.
"I won't let go, Kadri, I promise." Connor
comforted me, feeling my tight grip on his hands.
As we floated higher up into the air, the ground began to look so
small.
And the higher we got, the more afraid I became.
"Connor, I'm scared." I managed to say.
"Kadri, i'm right here." He said soothingly.
"And i'm not going anywhere."
That was enough to make me feel better.
Those words, coming from him.
"I'm not going anywhere."
They rang in my head, over and over again for the remainder of
the day.
Oh Connor, I thought to myself.
Please don't
go anywhere.

Chapter 14.
When we had all gotten settled
in, we explored the house a little.
We couldn't do much else, considering it was nearly 9:30.
"Dude, look at this game room!" Cade exclaimed, running
to the Ps3 and X-box that lied on the floor.
He took 'Call of Duty' out of one of the game cases, and
popped it into the Ps3.
Connor and Owen both sat down next to him, picking up
controllers.
"I really don't see how this game is fun." Brynn
retorted.
Ainsley, Brynn, and I, all took seats on the black leather
sectional to watch the guys play.
The cold fabric sent chills up my spine.
"Bro! You just killed me!" Owen yelled, throwing
his controller to the floor.
"Whoops, sorry." Connor chuckeled, continuing to
play.
"How do you even play this?" I asked, confused.
"Come here, i'll show you." Connor said, pausing
the game.
I stood up and walked over to him.
I hovered awkwardly above him, not knowing where to sit.
"Come on." Connor said, patting his lap. "I
don't bite."
"Okeeey." I said skeptically, sitting
down between his legs.
I really didn't understand why he was being so nice to
me.
He handed me the controller, and explained all the buttons to
me.
"Okay, so if I press this will-" As I pressed the
button, our character blew to pieces.
"Whoops..wrong button."
Connor laughed, and I couldn't help but laugh a little
too.
"Here." He said, wrapping his arms around me, placing
his hands over mine on the controller.
His touch made my stomach grow weak.
While I steered the controller, he pressed all the buttons.
This seemed to work a lot better, and get us killed a lot
less.
We actually made a pretty good team.
"Sneak up behind Cade." Connor whispered into my
ear.
I nodded, twisting the throttle to make our player walk towards
Cade's.
"Now press this button." Connor muttered, placing my
thumb over a green X on the controller.
When I pressed it, Cade's player was blown to bits and
removed from the game.
"Yes!" I beemed, throwing the controller to the ground
and falling back into Connor's chest. "We
won!"
"Because of me." He teased, smiling down at me.
"Oh whatever." I laughed, looking up at him.
As I looked up, our cheeks brushed together.
He just stared at me for a moment, not knowing what to do.
Then, he kissed me.
He didn't run away like last time, though.
This time, he held me tight, and didn't let go.
"We should probably get some sleep." Ainsley then
noted. "We've got a big day tommorrow."
I pulled away from the kiss, remembering that we had all made
plans to go paraglyding tommorrow.
We all went to our bedrooms, changing into our pajamas.
I threw on a pair of sweats and a tank top.
As I crawled into bed, Connor walked out of his closet, with
only a pair of athletic shorts on.
Holy abs, I thought mutely to myself, trying not to stare.
He climbed into bed next to me, wrapping his arms around me.
And as his body lay tight against mine, I couldn't help but
think that maybe, just maybe, part of him still loved me too.
Connor's POV-
The guys and I, we made a bet a few days ago. They said
that if I could treat Kadri like my girlfriend all week,
they'd both chip in to help me buy a car.
Why not? I thought.
It couldn't be that hard.
But when we kissed before, I felt something.
Something I havn't felt in a long time.
She was so beautiful.
And even though this is just a bet, I love the feeling of kissing
her, and having her close to me in my arms.
It feels so right, and as much as I hate to admit it,
I think i'm
falling in love with her all over again.
Awwh♥ Bet you
weren't expecting that when you read the hint last chapter,
were you?(:
I think we've all waited long enough for a little romance,
right?♥
