SNEAK PEEK, AT WHAT'S TO COME!

Kolton's POV.
I can't believe i did that to Serenity. Left her in the pouring rain.. on a bridge. How could i have been such a douche bag. I just get so jealous sometimes. I love her, though. I've been there for her. She has to love me back. She has to. I'm going to that party tonight. And Serenity's coming back, with me.

Whether she likes it, or not.

Chapter 10.
"Will you stop laughing already?!"
"I'm sorry, you're just so cute when you're mad." I looked over at Ashton and blushed. We were on our way to the beach for our date.
"Yeah well I'm about to get even cuter." I mumbled trying to force down a smile.
"Don't even try to hide that beautiful smile of yours." He laughed. I blushed harder this time. I stared at him for a moment and felt the car stop.
"Here." He whispered. Before i knew it he got out of the car and opened my door for me. He reached into the back seat and held a picnic basket in his hand.
"Really? Picnic on the beach? How cliche." I winked.
"You love it!" He grabbed my hand and walked along the shore. I looked around. Where is everybody. The beach is deserted. On a Saturday. In the afternoon, and it was pretty warm out.
"Here we are!" Ashton broke me of my thoughts. I looked down at the red and white checkered blanket, two glasses filled with ginger ale, and the picnic basket set down at the edge.
"You've been watching too many chick flicks." I teased. 
"Yeah, just for you.." He started laughing to himself "and they were all so stupid and pointless." He finished.
 
~~~ 6:30 PM ~~~
"So then what happened?!" Megan asked, intrigued by my love life. Wait did i just say LOVE life. I don't love Ashton. I can't. He's going to break my heart.
"He kissed me while the sun went down and dolphins did flips in the background while a love song played. What the hell do you think happened? It was just  a simple meaningless, romantic, hot, sweet, amazing, great-"
"Getting a little carried away there?" Megan waved a hand in front of my eyes. I got lost in my words.
"Long story short," I laughed "He's a really good kisser."
"Dawh my little Serenity is in lo-"
"No." I said flatly cutting her sentence short.
"You're going to have to forget James sooner or later." She mumbled.

Chapter 5
Serenity's POV
"With who?!" Kolton and Megan exclaimed at the same time. Although Megan being excited and Kolton having a look of anger on his face.
"Ashton." I shrugged. Megans' eyes widened and she put a huge grin on her face. "The hot new guy?! Damn girl, i didn't even get to call dibs." She winked.
I laughed and looked over at Kolton, he just rolled his eyes and walked away.
"What crawled up your panties?!" Megan screamed after him. The table burst into laughter. I calmed myself down and walked after him.
"Kolton!" I screamed, he kept walking. "Kolton!"
I finally caught up to him and stood in his way.
"What's wrong? What'd i do?" I asked.
"You didn't do anything." He sighed pushing past me.
"Kolton! Stop. What's wrong?" I said now getting angry. He turned around and walked up to me. His body was tense but his eyes soft.
"YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S WRONG? I'VE BEEN MADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU FOR THREE YEARS. AND YOU HAVEN'T EVEN NOTICED. IT KILLED ME TO SEE YOU WITH JAMES. AND ONCE THAT DOUCHE BAG MESSED UP I THOUGHT MAYBE JUST MAYBE I WOULD HAVE A CHANCE WITH YOU. BUT THEN ASHTON COMES ALONG AND RUINS IT. AND YOU'VE KNOWN HIM FOR LESS THAN A DAY, SERENITY. THREE YEARS WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS. But i guess that's not enough." He ran out the school doors. My eyes were wide and my jaw was probably on the ground. My best friend is in love with me.

Chapter 4
Serenity's POV
"Hey Serenity!" Kolton said handing me an apple. It was finally lunch and i was sitting at my usual table with my friends Layla, Dylan, Courtney, Maria, Kolton, and my best friend Megan. Layla and Dylan always kind of had a 'flirtationship.' Maria and Courtney have a crush on Kolton, but they'll never admit it. Kolton likes someone, but he won't tell me who. That just leaves me and Megan. And we're both waiting for Prince Charming.
"Serenity?" I turned to Kolton.
"Hey!" I said taking the apple from his hand.
"So, uh, what're you doing Saturday?" He asked. As if on cue Ashton walked into the lunch room and made his way towards me. He bent down next to me,
"Pick you up at 8 on Saturday, 'kay?" He winked and walked away. My stomach did a flip and i could feel myself turning pink. Guys are all the same, i need to stop. He's just going to lead me on and break my heart. My stomach calmed down and i turned to Kolton who had a confused expression splayed across his face.
"I have a date." I rolled my eyes.

Kolton's POV
This is it. I'm going to ask her on a date. I smiled to myself thinking about what it would be like to date Serenity. She was so nice, beautiful, and carefree. I didn't notice Ashton talking to her until he walked away. Why was HE over here? I looked at Serenity who was blushing and smiling like an idiot. She was so cute. If only that smile was because of me. Her face fell after a few seconds and turned hard. She turned to me.
"I have a date." She said flatly and rolled her eyes.
Great, now I'm annoying her. She probably doesn't even want to talk to me anymore. I bet she knows I've been in love with her for 3 years.
