Honestly, I'd just date him.. i know that sounds witchy and selfish but if your friend says she doesn't like him then take her word for it. & If she gets mad when you're dating him, just tell her you trusted her when she said she didn't like him.

I went through this when I was younger. I went out with this guy for over 6 months. We were best friends and going out, and it was amazing. We shared everything with each other. And right when we were at the peak of our relationship, he dumped me on the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. I was so mad, I was depressed for MONTHS. My parents were wicked concerned, I barely acknowledged anyone. I just moped around. Well, I don't want you to do that. I missed out on an important part of my life- my friends and family needed me, but I wasn't there. Everything was a blur for me. I was alone in the world. I cried myself to sleep every single night. It sucked. But you can't be depressed. I won't let you. It wastes your life. You don't want to do ANYTHING. All you do is watch TV, eat, and sleep. So what I would reccomend, have a girl's night. Invite over a couple friends for a sleepover, and just vent. Eat some chocolate, watch some love stories, and listen to super loud music. Make sure you do everything you can to lift up your spirits. I promise; you'll get over the jerk that dumped you;]
