This one's for Steve.


I don't think most Wittians realize how hard Steve works to keep this up and running for us. Did you guys know that this is just his hobby, he doesn't get paid? He still has a regular job. He manages this whole website by himself, do you know how much work that must be? And he listens to us. We wanted a chat, we got a chat. We wanted to be able to not see the quotes about 1D or nutella or whatever ones bothered you, he gave us a way to make that happen. He redesigned the entire website to make it better and easier for us. He noticed all the fighting because some people don't like quotes that other people post, he gave us a way to just stop being able to even see the quote, therefore stopping the fights before they start. He made it easier for us to edit our profiles, change our profile pictures, edit our quotes. And what do we do with his hard work? We take it all for granted. We start pointless arguments over Nutella or One Direction or jocked quotes or how things are taken from Tumblr, we bully each other in the most awful ways, we argue over everything. Our own Witty sisters&brothers have killed themselves because of bullying done on here. I don't think that's what Steve's intent of this website was. I think of him as a second dad, I really do. I'm not saying that everyone on here is a bully, because I don't think that at all. I've met some of my best friends on here. I don't think Steve really knew what Witty would become when he first started it. "Witty Profiles is the internet's largest collection of famous quotes, poetry and funny status messages to put in your online profiles." No. Witty is more than just a collection of quotes, poetry, and funny statuses. It's more than just a website, it's a community, it's a second home, it's a venting space, it's like a best friend that's always there to listen, no matter when. & sometimes, that's all you really need. Someone to listen.
