My Aunt Karen was supposed to be at work before 8:45 (when Flight 11 hit the North Tower) the morning of 9/11. She didn't hear her alarm go off and overslept. Because she was late, instead of rollerblading to work like she usually did, she took the subway. At the time of the first crash, she was in the subway. The subway system was shut down after the attacks so she didn't get out until the attacks were over. If she was on time, she probably would have been injured or died because the Twin Towers were near her work.
So, it is important to oversleep, sometimes.
RIP all who died on this day 11 years ago.
