On
the
Last
Day Of
School, I was in my B period class when my
teacher asked for the classes attention
and pulled out a mint $20 bill.
"Who would want this $20 bill?" she asked us.
Everybody raised their hands and all commented,
saying, "sure, why not?"
My teacher nodded, then crinkled up the bill.
"Would you still want this after I crinkled
it?" Everybody had the same answers: yes, of course.
"Even if i threw it on the ground, stomped on it,
and just got it extremely dirty...would you still want
it?"
My classmates looked at each other and nodded.
Someone spoke up and said:
"it's still a 20 no matter what you do to it."
My teacher smiled and put the 20 back in her pocket.
"Exactly. No matter what you do to that money,
it still has value. And people want it. The catch is,
you're all like that. You can be in the worst of
conditions,
and still have value - and people will want you.
Never forget
that."

us this story last year

I
think
weall needto learn a
lesson
fromthis: A college professor was doing a
demonstration to his students. He had
a big glass jar. He put
several big rocks in it. He
asked his students 'Can
anything else fit in here?' They all replied 'No.' Then he put small pebbles in the jar. Several
students gave a chuckle realizing they were wrong. The
professor asked again 'Can anything
else fit in here?' They all replied 'No.' Then he poured a bag of sand in the jar. This time almost
all of the students
let out an almost laugh. Then
he said 'The rocks are the important
thingsin
life; your family, friends, etc.' 'The pebbles are theminor things in life which
come after the rocks.' 'The sand
grains stand for all of the unnessacary things
in life.' 'If you were to put all the sand grains in first [the unnessacary
things], then the pebbles [the minor
things], then the rocks [the
important things], it wouldn't fit. Therefore, you
have to realize that familyandfriendscomefirst.
