People change. That's one out
of the million things you cannot control.
"I guess in the end, people
become the people they promised they'd never be. And they
do things they swore they would never
do."
Remember when you guys both just
"clicked"? You two were like two best friends but you
guys just didn’t know it yet. Then you quickly exchanged
Facebooks and digits and you talked all the time just about
random things but you two would never run out of things to talk
about. It was
nice. You started to talk less and less and eventually
you both reached a point where neither one cares enough to put
forth some effort to revive the friendship. Then months later,
you start to miss the memories you guys shared. You want to
create new memories but you aren't sure if they feel the
same way. You let it slip your mind, you push it back, and it
appears that you no longer care. They do the same, and now you
two are strangers. You contemplate. You both do. You guys try
to catch up but too much has changed and it's too
late.
People walk in and out of your
life. Don't try to hold them back. Let them leave if they
want to because you've got plenty of other people to
befriend. When people leave, it's because they don't
need you. Why would you need someone that doesn't need you?
You can't depend on someone like that. You've got to
find people that will stay with you no matter what situation
you're in.
