Since I can no longer comment on eli22b's quotes I would just like to say
You do realize your comment about vengeance is the reason we humans are so evil right?
Wars get started over ancient feuds that one country wants to up the other for what they justify as "justice"
No, if I were a parent I would not let it go because that's how i'm supposed to feel but if I go in a killing rage I would probably be classified as crazy, 'cause I would be.
you don't go on a "killing rage" when you say you want the person who actually went on a killing rage dead. there is nothing wrong with that feeling of wanting that person to have to feel what your kids felt. If this guy were still alive, i would not be surprised if after all the funerals, wakes, and memorials, that they all went in search of this guy to mutilate him. there is no excusable reason for anyone to kill that many people and be still considered a good person because he had a mental disease. i would want that guy dead, too. Because if i were a parent, i would like to know that this man is a rotting corpse, rather than rotting in a jail cell.
1) I'm not saying he's a good person i'm just saying everyone doesn't have to ask why and hate on him for something out of his control. 2) If I were a parent I would prefer he rot in a jail cell because death is the easy way out.
1) i still think it was in his control. I know plenty of people with mental diseases, and disabilities, and they still know the difference between right and wrong. and 2) that's where we disagree. I feel like jail is the easy way out. he just gets to sit there, living and breathing, surrounded by people who have all f/ucked up, so it's not like he would get judged as hard, and when he's not facing the real world, he doesn't have to face the consequences for his actions. If he's dead at least as a parent i would know in my heart that if they decided to let him off because of a mental disability that he'd never hurt anyone again. It would be comforting to know that he felt what my kid felt. let's just agree to disagree.
1) Yeah, but they probably wouldn't have it as bad as him. Maybe he was abused as a child. Maybe they take medications and he didn't. There are tons of possibilities that could easily say why he shouldn't be biitched at as hard as he his. 2) In jail he could get the mental help he would need. They wouldn't let him off easily either, killing people is a big deal. I respect your opinions because you're backing them up with what you feel and you aren't being rude about it.
