PLEASE HELP!

My boyfriend  of 7 months just changed his relationship status on facebook to single. This was news to me! He quickly messaged me saying "Hey I changed my status to single just to see what people say because I'm bored. Dont worry its all good, we are still together" A girl hes friends with commeneted on it saying "I THOUGHT YOU WERE KIDDING WHEN YOU SAID YOU WERE GONNA BREAK UP WITH HER!" So apparently he was planning to break up with me. He deleted the comment but she commented back again saying the same thing. He denies it, but I don't  believe him. Advice?
