The saddest thing
I've ever seen
was when I went to Aruba for Thanksgiving break & the hotel I went to threw a big beach party for Thanksgiving dinner. My parents had met a lot of people at the pool, beach, and around the hotel, including this one guy who was on vacation with his wife. They got in a fight before Thanksgiving, so he had to go to the beach party and eat ALONE. I can't imagine eating sitting all by yourself at a table on THANKSGIVING. So, my dad saw him sitting alone at a table with a big family on the other side, keeping a distance of at least 3 chairs in between them. I was HORRIFIED that they left him on the other side of the table ALONE without even acknowledging him. My dad noticed him and went over to his table, then told him to come sit with us. We had a party of 10 people, but we squeezed another chair in for him.
