Hair Tip

A sport is a sport, not a
fashion show. But us girls can't help wanting to look
cute, can we? The key to a good sports hairstyle is keeping it
PRACTICAL.
Short Hair: If your hair is not at a length
where you can pull it up, (and major props for rocking such a
short 'do!) you really don't have that many options.
A headband, of course. Other than that, just leave
it out. If your hair is short but you CAN pull it up, try
a French braid or two. They keep all the hair in place.
Don't forget hairspray!
Medium hair: You're at that in-betweeny
stage, so you could go with the braids listed above.
However, high buns are adorable for sports while keeping
all of your hair up and out of the way. Don't forget
a headband or hair clips for bangs! Try braiding them off
to the side.
Long hair: Ponytails work, but my long hair
always swishes around EVERYWHERE! Try a long braid down
your back, or a side braid. The hair stays more
controlled. Use a headband or hairclips to keep bangs out of
the way.
I think ribbons are cute, and I always wear colorful yarn.
However, unless you're a cheerleader, big obnoxious
bows might make you look less professional. You can
always use headbands and hairclips that match your team's
colors!

Nnicolemariiex3 asked how to
hide a bad haircut. I can definitely feel your pain on
this one, because I had a HORRIBLE haircut about two years
ago. Maybe I'll get brave enough to post the picture
on the website haha.
Anyway, let's start with what kind of bad haircut it
is. If it's just awful bangs, there's a ton of
solutions for you. Headbands, hair clips, or pinning them
back somehow is definitely the way to go. Alternate
between each kind, do braids or poofs if they're long
enough. Unfortunately the only way to hide it is to pull
them away from your face until it grows out.
If the bad haircut is basically your entire head, you've
still got options. Again, pulling the hair up until it
grows out is probably your best bet. Ponytails, braids,
buns, twists, do anything you can think of. I have some
great updo quotes.
If your hair is long enough and you're willing to lose
some, you can try going to a hairdresser (hopefully not the
same one that gave you the bad haircut) and they can try to fix
it for you so it looks less horrible. Otherwise, let it
grow, and it can be fixed later on.
And to nnicolemariiex3, I really hope you didn't pay for
the haircut. No sense in paying for an awful
haircut. Good luck and happy
growing!

This one was requested by
xBornToFlyx. She said that her liquid foundation looks kind
of cakey and icky, and wants to know how to apply it to avoid
this.
I always had trouble with liquid foundation, especially with my
not so great skin. First, use a daily moisturizer.
Foundation tends to cake more on dry skin. Next, use a
FOUNDATION BRUSH. Do not use a sponge. The foundation
brush I use is by Clinique, but they can usually be bought at any
drug store. Squeeze a small amount of foundation onto the
back of your hand (not the one you're holding the brush
in). This helps limit the amount you put on. Apply a
small amount to any area (forehead, cheeks, chin, etc.) Use
quick patting motions as you brush, rather than just sweeping it
straight on. Use a little, then see if you need more to
avoid cakiness. Don't use any more than you need
to.
Another reason your foundation might be cakey is because of the
quality. I use Clinique Perfectly Real foundation (brand
trend here? haha). It's a little pricier, but I find
that it covers smoothly and evenly. It's really just a
matter of trying different foundations out and seeing what works
best for you.
Thanks xBornToFlyx, hope I helped!

A cute twist on a messy bun!
Things you'll need:
-A hair tie (or two, depending on how thick your hair is)
-Bobby pins
-Hairspray (optional)
-Cute headband (optional)
1. Pull your hair into a high ponytail. Secure with a ponytail
holder.
2. Take the ends of your hair and pull it forward so that your
ponytail forms a circular shape.
3. Bobby pin your ends down so that the loop shape stays. If
you have thick hair, it might help to add another hair tie
after you bobby pin.
4. Hairspray. This is optional, but recommended.
5. Pull at the back of the bun to fan it out. Then, scrunch and
mess with random places. Bobby pin and pieces that get too out
of control.
6. Hairspray again.
7. Add a cute headband for added flair.
*I'm thinking about posting this up on the website with
pictures for guidance. Would that be helpful for you
guys?
