okay.here's the thing;
when girls say 'OMG! I LOOOVE UGGS!", do they really actually
like the shoes themself, or do they like the fact that it's cool to
wear them, and 'everyone else does'. I mean, i idolize my friend
caroline, because one day some annoy girl was going on and on about
her new uggs, and caroline just goes " wow.those are soo dumb
looking.i would NEVER buy uggs.i think they're big, fat and make
your feet look retarded." At that moment i started to think
differently..how about all the Hollister and Abersrombie
clothes. When i walk into one of those stores, i can personaly say
that half the stuff in there is ugly as f- - -. Yet i still buy it
because i saw it on some popular girl in my school. Our world is soo
messsed up, that we cant even tell if we really, truly like what we
see or buy. On theTv, magasines, internet, we look up to the people
who where expensive clothes and nice shoes becuase we want to be
famous and pretty like them.I know lots of girls in my school who
just buy things because of the brand, not on it's general apperance
or how it looks on them. i just recently went shopping at kohls and
i saw a reallyyyyy cute shirt. I was thinking twice on buying it
becasuse it wasn't abercrombie or hollister. i didnt wanna be
seen wearing something from a cheepo store, that would
be embarrasing. So, to make my point, I think the little moose
emblems, birds stiching, and Ugg markings really show how small
things can really effect our lives.I just wanna know
if what we buy and want is becasuse of our gut feeling; we
actually like it, or just because eveyone else has it.
I guess society is just like jumpin on the bandwagon.
*venting.sorry if you don't agree with me.
