Secrets
Finally I think as I walk away from my “friends “.
Oddly enough I’m not angry. After a while you get used to
people not seeing the real you. As I head home I walk past
Bryan.
“Hey” he smiles and waves me over.
“What’s up” I ask though I don’t care
sometimes I wish I could something just once.
“The ceiling” he grins as though his joke was
actually funny.
“Cute” I say sarcastically. “So are you walking
all the way home?” I shrug.
“Yeah” he doesn’t need to know my father
forgot me again.
“Do you want a ride?” I look him straight in the
eyes. “No”
“Why not?” he seems puzzled.
“Um… my dad will probably be around soon, I’m
just gonna head that way to save some time.” My hick accent
comes out a little and he smiles, and then frowns
. “Are you sure? I’ve seen you walking home pretty
often these past few weeks.”
“Yeah, he just forgets that he’s supposed pick me up
after work sometimes.” And you know the alcohol
doesn’t help his memory much.
“I could give you a ride if you want?”
“Yeah that sounds nice. Thanks.”
AN: ok here’s the deal this my first story so if it’s
not good let me know but don’t be harsh.
