I think he likes you and you were right about the rejection thing. If you had responded sooner then he probably wouldn't have taken it back but I don't think his feelings about you have changed. If he really liked you that much to ask you out then an hour really wouldn't make too much of a difference. Something similar happened with my last boyfriend when he asked me something I think he was nervous to ask me and then he took it back after I didn't respond for thirty minutes...we had been in a relationship for seven months at this point! Don't stress too much about it. You should give him a call or text him though to let him know that you're interested (if you are, that is) and explain what happened. Good luck, girlie :)
