lizzyloo023,
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. Good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant."

Quotes by lizzyloo023

There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,

Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.
That moment when a picture, or a song, or even a simple sentence reminds you of a memory from when you were happy, and you just sit there and reminisce with a smile on your lips, tears in your eyes, and your chest aches to go back to the easier days. Whether the memory was a long time ago, or even a few days, it made you so happy, you just forgot all of the pain and loss you've ever felt, and let yourself have fun. You sit there, remembering because for that little while, your life was absolutely perfect. It was so good, you wouldn't change a single part of your life at all just so you could experience that moment of sheer joy. And then you sit there, slowly coming back to life, and your chest aches, as you promise yourself that you will feel that happiness again.
I want to love you and punch you at the same time.

It's a strange feeling.
this time of the year,
it makes me so happy,
and yet, I feel so lonely.

merry christmas.
So yes. Let's make guns illegal.

Because marijuana is illegal, and NO ONE smokes weed.
Because alcohol was once illegal, and NO ONE drank.
Because killing people in general is illegal, and NO ONE does that.

So yes. Let's make guns illegal. Because I'm sure that if we do, the bad people out there will NEVER be able to access them.

The Second Amendment is there for a reason.
When someone tries to take it away, that's when you know you really need it.

I love giving out compliments.
Honest, sincere compliments.
Why?

When i get a compliment, I feel like I'm on Cloud 9.
I think everyone should feel this way all the time.
Feel like they're appreciated.
Feel like someone noticed them.
Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
and he called it "chops"
because that was the name of his dog
and thats what it was all about
his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
and his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts.
that was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
and he let them sing on the bus
and his little sister was born
with tiny nails and no hair
and his mother and father kissed a lot
and the girl around the corer sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his faher what the X's meant
and his father always tucked him in bed at night
and was always there to do it

Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
and that's what it was all about
and his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of the new paint
and the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
and left butts on the pews
and sometime they would burn holes
that was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
and the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
and the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
and his father never tucked him in bed at night
and his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it

Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
and he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
and that's what it was all about
and his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
that was the year Father Tracy died
and he forgot how the end
of the Apostle's Creed went
and he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
and his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
and the girl around the corner
wore too much make up
that made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
becuase it was the thing to do
and at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly

That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
and he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
because that's what it was really all about
and he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
and he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen.

sometimes you have to just
hold you head up high,
try not to cry,

and say goodbye.
