Actually, that's exactly how therapy works. Do you expect people just to give up and never try to fix their problems and suffer for the rest of their lives? This quote and comments are just a giant pity party.

this quote is to express my opinion,I posted quote because it's something that means a lot to me.Having social anxiety for the rest of your life is a fate that many people will have to face. If anything, the best option would be therapy. But if somebody has severe social anxiety, making them do public speaking isn't going to help them at all. In fact it's going to be damaging. Because there's no way they're going to be able to function properly in a setting like that. And with failure, they'll feel even worse about themselves, which will reinforce that they were right about themselves in the first place and make their social anxiety even worse.
