When my dad asked my mom to marry him he
hadn't picked out a ring, but they realized they had
planned there whole lifes together. So, my dad went out
into the yard and came back in carrying a blade of grass.
He sat my mom down and said: "When my dad asked my mother
to marry him he had just bought a plot of land. He did
not have the money for a ring because he was still buiding the
house. One day he took her out and sat her down on a
rock. Then he took a blade of grass and asked for her
hand in marriage. I have not chosen a ring out yet but
will this be your ring until then?"
He then tide the blade of grass
around her finger.
Just thought I would share.
