Dear Parents,
Your kid is crying out. Don't you hear? Do you not hear those cries in the middle of the night? Do you not see that pain? Marked so clearly on their faces, their actions, their skin.Did they not make it clear? You stand there disappointed about everything that your child has done. You thought you did your best didn't you? Ever thought maybe we have feelings too? Dreams? Ambitions? Maybe you should learn to listen. To hear our cries. Because we just want you to be happy. We just want you to be proud. We just want you to understand.

The sadness always came.
So at night, she filled her sheets with boys who's personalities, she never came to know.
Yet, still the sadness came. So she ran away by filling her schedule full to the brim. But it still came back. So she filled her thoughts with lines upon lines of songs, poems, stories. All about love..but the sadness found a way to ink itself in the pages of her notebook and in the melody of her songs. So deep in the night, she slashed and slashed. Digging and digging for the sadness within. But the sadness bled through her skin. In despair, she collapsed, crying and ready to sleep forever. On her last day, she got the courage to tell him she's liked him for the longest time, and said farewell. As she took her last look at the world, she opened her locker, and out fell her last hope. What finally chased away the sadness. It was a note that read,
" I like you too.. alot actually..maybe we can hang out sometime?"
No please. Go ahead. Make fun of me. Keep up the jokes. Make sure they sting just alittle more as they leave your mouth.
And please, don't ever swallow your words when I prove you wrong.
Don't even say sorry. That word became useless
the minute you decided to bring down the wall of
hope I surrounded myself with.

"It is no measure of good health to be well adjusted to a sick society."
Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.
I'm terrified..
to grow up because sometimes it seems like things will never feel this easy again.
I think part of the reason why we hold onto something so tight is because we fear that something so great wont happen twice.
To be loved, to be known, and to be cared for...
                                                                                                                                                        is to be vulnerable.

Why do we wait until it's too late?
Why do we let someone else have what we were too scared to reach out and take?
