The word judgement has been twisted and tangled in our minds so much that now most people believe it means a lot less than it does. Judgement is making an assumption based on what you know about someone. It is what is gained from an impression. But because none of us have the ability to know everything about another person, let alone ourselves, we are always making judgements. Therefore, the idea of never judging anyone is invalid. We should instead reach toward making educated judgements, because as we all know no one is perfect, and never know the real reason why one or another decision was made.
The wood ones seem to always break down very quickly. Sometimes they are knocked down by cars. Cars that weren’t even supposed to come there in the first place came along and knocked those wooden mailboxes down.
The plastic ones are new. I saw some people removing the old wooden mailboxes with the plastic durable ones. The plastic mailboxes. Always black. Always standing straight and tall. Like teeth after 3 years of braces. Never slanted or crooked or pink or blue. Never knocked down by the neighbors car. Or rusted in the rain.
I remember back when I lived in Connecticut, we had painted purple flowers all over our mailbox. Everyone knew that it was our mailbox. Everyone knew it was our house. How are people supposed to remember which house is yours if you don’t have a mailbox that’s slanted or painted or rusted or torn? How will they remember through the plastic?
