dude I was totally in the same boat as you when I first joined. ok so here's the deal.
if there is a format or template from another quote that you really like, click 'get code', highlight and copy, go to add a quote (old editor), click source, click the text box, paste, click source again, then voila you have THAT PERSONS QUOTE to put your own quote in all you have to do is delete and type :)
if you wanna design your own go to the new beta editor, type your quote, then highlight and go to the little box on the bottom left corner rightabove where you were typing. it should look like 2 a's on top of each other? well when you find it, click on it and pick w.e. you want from the choices... you'll see what I mean
