rush

she sat there silently.

waiting for her death

to stop the waves from crashing

to take her final breath.

 

she walked into the ocean

to feel the gentle breeze

but with that giant wave

it sent her to her knees

 

at first she kicked and screamed

and hoped someone could hear

but when no one came to help her

she fell into her fear.

 

she let the water fill her

and she thought her final thoughts

she thaught about the lessons she learned

and the lessons she had taught.

 

and finally her heart slowed down

and she thought of the ones she loved.

and when the waves had no more rush
