and i take jazz tap and ballet. maybe alittle lyrical/contemporary style in there too. i've been dancing for 14 years now because i started when i was about 2 and a half.
So do you just take jazz? or are you interested in different styles? :)
And who's your favorite in One Direction? I absolutely love them all, but my extra favorite is Niall. <3 But i love all the guys for different reasons. :))

I like both. Lyrical tends to be more fluid movement and modern is more specific. Modern is anti-ballet so if you don't like ballet you will love modern. :) Jazz is good for both because jazz and ballet are the foundations for many dances. Lyrical is more closely related to jazz I think. Modern is more different movements. Either one you should try, they are both fun!

I do like everything including jazz, musi8cal theater, tap, ballet modern, lyrical, and hip hop. I have a dance recital tomorrow too!!! Weird lol. Do you happen to live in NJ?

Anyway my advice would be to make sure you stretch beforehand!! It's very important to keep your muscles warm! Then just go out there, have fun, and smile. Look at the people you are dancing with, smile at them, and feed off their energy. Good luck! :)

And i bet you'll do absolutely brilliant in your recital tomorrow! really! i always get nervous too, its completely normal. If i get really nervous, deep breathing, going through the steps in my head, and maybe just having a laugh with any of my friends who are dancing or backstage with me. So just be the best that you can be and never forget to smile! i know you'll do great!
