Alright, I happen to completely disagree with this quote. How are you going to sit there and tell the world what Steve's intentions for this site is or isn't? How long have you been on Witty for? Because if you have been here from the beginning, you would know that one of the original categories was "vent." This website is for all kinds of writing. I'm not saying that I'm not happy that you're one of that more upbeat girls on here, but hey. Just because a lot of girls are depressed on here, doesn't mean they should just fake their feelings. Telling them what they should and shouldn't post is honestly not right. Some of the girls on here are thinking about committing suicide, but they don't because of the support they get on here. This website is made with feelings, hearts, and souls. *Plus, I should add that boys are on here too, aha.
I know this like makes no sense in some spots, but that's because I just woke up and I'm extremely tired. I hope I'm not coming across as being rude, I'm just defending the boys and girls who use this as a place to seek help. &to be honest, I wouldn't mind if you "haters" of kids who vent, got off the site. It isn't right at all.

I guess ppl don't realize that others come on witty to be cheered up/ have a good laugh or two, but time and time again I log in to find top quotes polluted with dumb and jacked quotes. it's gotten to the point where i barely come on anymore. and another thing; I won't name names but *cough cough thatsomee* there are certain "witty popular* ppl that are on EVERY SINGLE page of top quotes, but everything they post is basically the same thing, just using different words. look at their page and you'll see what i'm talking about. It's just the same over and over again. I followed them cause it used to be quotes i could relate to, but now it just annoying.

i know, but seriously, the half of the witty population are girls that have problems like those. and we like witty cause we can put lots of different quotes not just our depressing ones, its true we have more depressive quotes than any other, but it is what it is. as much as you or anyone else in witty wants us to go away, we or at least i will not stop using this site. i appreciate you try to look for other websites but it will not be the same as witty. if Steve didnt wanted us in here he would have already put an anounsment at the top of witty. he justn put a quote about it. i know he wants us to express and be ourselves.

And, you are being rather hypocritical, seeing as your quote is not funny or cute.

If you're going to criticize, I believe your quote is neither funny,witty, or cute but I would assume this site is for quotes of all kinds. It doesn't say that you can ONLY post funny, witty, and cute quotes. Therefore people are entitled to post whatever the flyin heck they want (within the rules). If you don't like the quotes about cutting, depression or bullying don't look at them, because no one said you had to. Just ignore the quotes you don't like.

Well everyone is human and makes mistakes, so you'll have to excuse those people's quotes that don't meet the database of funny jokes/ famous quotations because they are making mistakes on posting on witty. Witty has changed? It's been like that FOREVER. I know this website it made for "funny, witty, and cute quotes." but some people just need help. Witty may be their only place to vent and get it out. It hasn't been like this forever. I started this site two years ago and all I say were funny jokes and famous quotations.

I've been on witty since like late 2010, but i didnt really make an account until 2011, but i saw a lot of quotes about depression and all of the stuff you were talking about thats on here, I've had people tell me i saved their lives from commenting on a quote like that before. You have your own opinion, i have mine, but i think that theres no problem with people posting venting quotes. Numero uno: I barely see quotes about cutting, depression, bullying etc. anymore. There's a he.l of a lot more on Tumblr, actually.
Dos: Things don't always turn out the way they were intended to be. Help on this website has saved lives, turned them around. We've given people a place to be themselves (at least, we used to). I don't think we should stop helping people because it was meant to be funny instead of helping.

I see your point, but this website is also the reason hundreds of girls (or guys) haven't gone through with suicide...It's saved lives, and if they have to post a depressing quote to help themselves feel better, then they should be able to do that.
