The Earth
weighs
6,240,000,000,000,000,000 kg
And the distance from
the Earth
to the Sun is
149,600,000 km.
And even if you
take all that
and add the number
of stars in the sky,
You still wouldn't get
how much
I love you

I love looking at the sky.
I love how it's never the same.
Sometimes it's perfectly clear; crystal blue.
Sometimes it's pitch black, sparkling with millions of tiny stars.
Sometimes it's painted with purples and pinks and oranges.
It's lovely.

someone once told me to always
live for the little things
in life.
live for 5am sunrises and 5pm sunsets
where you'll see coloirs in the sky that
don't usually belong.
live for road trips and bike rides
with music in your ears and
the wind in your hair.
live for days when you're surrounded
by your favorite people who make you realise
that the world is not a
cold, harsh place.
live for the little things because
they will make you realise that
this is what life is about.

not mine

An old man was going for a walk, when he noticed a little boy feeding a thin, shaggy looking dog with bits of bread.
He went up to the boy and asked him why he was sharing his bread with the dogs.
The little boy answered, "Because they have nothing. No home, no family, and if I don’t feed them they will die."
“But there are homeless dogs everywhere," the old man replied. “So your efforts don’t really make a difference”
The little boy looked at the dog and stroked him. “But for this little dog, it makes all the difference in the world.”

This gives me hope.

How can you say the world is such an ugly place?
There is so much that still needs to be seen.
Watch the sun set on the horizon, disappearing behind the ocean waves.
See the millions of tiny stars shining with the Northern Lights.
Look as the rain clears and a rainbow forms.
Stands in the shadows of the impossibly tall trees in the Amazon.
Listen to the whales singing their mornful songs.
Watch an Eagle spread its wings and try to fly for the first time.
The world is so huge and vast.
There are so many beautiful and wonderful sights.
How can you say the world is such an ugly place?
I could search the world. I could look through every dictionary. I could learn every language. But I don't think that any one word could describe how you make me feel.
I think that's the amazing part about really getting to know someone. Not just knowing their name and favorite color and what TV shows they like. Not like that. I mean getting to know someone much deeper than that. Finding out if they prefer books to movies, or if they like their coffee black or boston style. Learning where all those little scars on their hands came from and how they mispronounce certain words. Knowing the kind of things they laugh at and the songs they listen to all the time but never get tired of. Noticing how they say "snazzy" instead of just saying "cool". All those little things you wouldn't notice unless you knew them well.
The number of the scale doesn't matter. The amount of acne you get has no meaning. The clothes you wear and the car you drive are of no importance. Where you come from doesn't matter either.

What does matter is the things that make you smile. Your favorite songs and if you move your lips when you read or not. What time in the day you get up and what books you love. Whether you put up paintings or posters or pictures on your wall. Your favorite color, and if you like marshmallows or whip cream or both in your hot chocolate. What matters is where you are going, and I'd like to go there too...
And I sit here, trying to come up with the right words to say. Words that will inspire. Words that will stick with people for prolonged periods of time. Words that, if used just right, will make a scene in a book feel tangible. Words that paint breathtaking pictures. Because why use words like sad, nice, good, bad, or happy, when you could use words like jovial, exquisite, melancholy, morose, profound, resonant, or impassioned.
Well you see...I turned on the computer to do a report for science class, but then I needed to google something for the report...Then I was like "Hey I'll just check facebook." ...And then I went on witty...And now here I am writing this quote...This is why I can't do homework on the computer.
