10 years ago, i lost my mother.
she had to go to the world trade center for a job interview. around 7 me & my dad wanted to visit her, and then go sight seeing around new York. halfway there, breaking news came over the radio. i think we were in a tunnel or something because we couldnt really hear it, but i could tell something wasnt right. As we were on the highway getting closer to the city, we saw smoke comming from a large building. my dad started getting really worried and began to cry, i had no idea what was going on though. we drove up to the building and got out of the car. It was the world trade center. the building mommy was in. i remember running in and looking all over the first floor screaming "MOMMY!" but a fire fighter grabbed me and brought me outside and away from the building, i refused to stay and watch , i NEEDED to save my mom. For the next hour or so daddy & i just stood there watching the buildings burn and collapse into pieces. everyone was running and screaming. i remeber it being really dark and smokey, and very hot. we went into a hotel in the area and cried. we jsut cried and cried, and eventully called a taxi to come and take us home because our car had been wrecked under the building. when we finally got home daddy called everyone and told them the bad news. i was only 6, but i remember it like it was yesterday. i miss you so much mommy. daddy and i are going to a memorial tonight, we'lll pray for you. i hope your safe, i love you<3
