No it
isn't pretty, but if you read it an favorite it, it would mean
the world to me.
Today, We had a speaker come to our
school and talk to our entire grade. When we walked in he was
sitting down. Our principal took the microphone and introduced the
man as Gary and waited for him to come get the microphone. Slowly
Gary stood up and stumbled over to the microphone. He started
talking slowly as well and studdering, Gary was special or
retarded. Looking around most everyone was laughing and all i could
think about was please stop laughing but am i going to be able to
sit through an hour of this? Gary asked us to raise our hands and
tell him the definition of "cool." One of my friends
raised his hand and said "Being yourself." Gary seemed to
like this answer. All of the sudden though Gary stood up
straighter, walked normal, and talked quicker. He wasn't
special at all. He started laughing at us saying he wished we could
see the look on our faces. It made me realize how differently we
treat people, and it's not okay. BEST motivational speaker,
EVER.
