Invisible

As she screamed
no one heard her

In a room full of people
no one heard her

As she was slowly dying
no one heard her

She was crying so hard
No one heard her

Maybe it was because
she wasn't crying on the outside
but on the inside
Not literally dying
but her thoughts said she was

It was mostly because
everyone thought she was fine
all because of that fake, fake smile

Insecurities

Swings, slides
Scrapes on knees
That's all the little girl sees

Eight years can make a difference
Now she notices everything:

From hips
to feet
to stomach
to eyes
to nose
to hair
to legs
to thighs

From all the crying
her eyes were red
"Oh," she thought
"I'll be better off dead"
