I was looking at a year old photo contest;

and every single photo was captioned,
"forever&&always"
or "true lovee"
or some other gooey line.
and some pictures made me :smile:,
some made me l a u g h,
and some made me upset.
but  x  the x  worst  x  part
was knowing
that half the couples, or more,
were bro-ken up.
half the captions a lie.
and it made me want to stop looking,
but x  then  x  something  x  happened
i saw a picture of an old man,
&& an old women sitting in front of a
"Happy anniversary poster"
and his eyes were closed,
as he wrapped his arms around her.
and her eyes were bright,
alive with love.
and it made me think about all the captions
that came true,
and the people that could f o r e v e r&&a l w a y s
