Falling for You

chapter 2
(continued)
As soon as our feet
hit the entrance of the door, the bell started to ring.
“Nice of you to join us, Mr. Smith and Ms. Night. Please
take a seat,” said Mrs. Swan our homeroom teacher. We took
a seat in the back of the class. I sat next to Kate and Todd sat
next to Chris, we had literally every class together. The day
went by quick, next thing I knew I was on my way to the beach
with my best friend and our boyfriends.
We got
off the car and un-loaded the hummer, then headed down the beach.
It wasn’t that full today, there were few people and most
of them looked our age. Kate and I set up everything and started
tanning while Todd and Chris went to the boardwalk to get us some
drinks, and snacks.
“I can’t wait for the 4th of July,
Ann!” Kate almost screamed. You see I was having a
4th of July party at my Beach house and everybody
who’s anybody is invited, and Kate couldn’t keep
quite about it, it’s all she’s talked about these
last few weeks.
“I can’t wait either, but there’s no need to
---“
“Watch out!” I was cut off mid-sentence when all of a
sudden beach volleyball landed right in front of me, bringing
sand into my face and my upper back. “Oh god, I’m so
sorry!” the voice was closer, figures it was a guy. Kate
was trying to hold in a giggle.
“Well aren’t we all,” I said with a hit of
anger and attitude, while trying to wipe off the sand.
“I didn’t mean to, I’m sorry,” he
replied. This time I looked up he had short blonde hair and
bright green eyes, I can tell he worked out a lot just by the
size of his abs and his muscles.
“Can you stop saying you’re sorry,” I said a
little annoyed now. I got up and walked to the water to wash
myself off because the towel was hopeless. I heard footsteps
behind me but I didn’t turn around.
“Okay, I’m sorry,” the boy replied. I stopped
mid track and turned around to look at him. He was a little
taller then me maybe by three or four inches taller then
me.
“Okay, I forgive you, but a least have the decency to ask
me for my name before you throw sand in my face,” I laughed
and he chuckled apologetically.
“Okay,” he smiled, god he had a great smile,
“what’s your name?”
“Annie, Annie Night, Ann for short, no one ever calls me by
my full name,” I said shaking his hand, “and you
are?”…
