Harry Potter DOES have romance, but unlike Twilight it's not all about getting a boyfriend, it's about facing fears and doing what's right. Harry sacrifieses himself in the end, I don't recall Bella or Edward doing something like that. Harry Potter not only has the main plot, but it has sub plots. The characters have DEPTH- that means we know more about them than their age and a rough outline of physical features. In Twilight- no one important dies!! There was a war and not one Cullen died- ummm, ok? JK Rowling isn't afraid to sacrifice the good guys- if you've ever read five-seven, you would know that, but I guess those are a little thick for you.....
